After the Seaside half marathon came to a finish, we were on an adventure to look at a new puppy. We flew from Panama City (KECP) up to Millen, Georgia (2J5) in the Cirrus SR22. We talked about some of the things that came up in the annual inspection. We also had to troubleshoot some radio comm issues with Atlanta Center. Hope you enjoy! I’ve flown several times between the panhandle of Florida and Michigan and have had issues with Atlanta (west of Atlanta); I would just look at the nearest airport approach charts to look up the approach frequency and controlling agency. They were always very helpful. One time I actually had an Atlanta controller tell me he may lose me and if he did he would try reaching me through another aircraft. Enjoy your videos!

Absolutely, reception can get spotty at low altitudes!

Just a tip - it's a good idea to include pressing the TOGA button as part of your pre-departure flow. That way you rotate and pitch up to the command bars. While not incredibly useful during the day, its a good habit to set because at night, or in low IFR it could save your life. There was a Cirrus crash recently where he went into the trees at night that probably could've been avoided if he had done that. Great video!

It's been getting better recently. They're doing a much better job at anticipating need and getting them there on time.
