I've asthma. Night time coughing is common for me when I don't have it well controlled. Also if the room air is too cold, even when the asthma is better controlled (cold is a trigger for me). I should note cough is usually the first symptom when an attack is starting, for me.

@@s.h.6858 that is probably why, the cold air or air flow. My husband and I keep a fan on at night to move air and require the temperature to be 60°>; else, we wake up dripping in sweat. I cough in dry heat as well. Dry throat in general.

Ive had a noticeable cough starting around 15yrs ago. Progressively got worse. Now its hard to find the trigger.. its all the time. Even in bed. At times, I have some mucus but it unexpectedly will shoot out of my mouth with one simple cough. It also feels like its near my sternum area too. Sometimes I cough so hard, I throw up or gag. Other times I cough so hard I strain and see a tiny bit of blood. I know its from straining. Im exhausted & tired all the time. I blamed the cough over the years for just about everything including my Afib (a few yrs ago). Nothing has changed before or after it. (Which I know longer have) Ive been thru every stage of what ifs you listed including xrays and scans.. Im now going for a bronchoscope & to have my lungs flushed. I dont know what else to do. I dont want to be an experimental lab rat nor do I want to ignore or blow this off. Do you think its extreme to do the lung flushing or do you think I should just give up... Its havic on my personal life.. including my husband patience is getting thin. BTW - Never smoked nor drank, No meds other than vitamins & 10mg Atorvastatin for cholesterol (just recently)

Your video is very informative. I've had a chronic cough for years but none of the doctors can seem to find the problem. I've even been to a few Pulmonologist. An X-ray was taken just recently and the results were clear lungs, the hilar areas and media stinum are intact and No pleural effusions are demonstrated. Something is causing my cough and the doctor didn't even acknowledge the excess amount of mucus that drips out of my nose and run down my throat. My left eardrum was punctured years ago and it is that ear that causes me to cough high in my throat as well when I try to clean it. I'm really getting sick of these doctor's inability to help me. I don't smoke.

@@screamingmimi90 Hello 👋 ! Prednisone is a bad medication because in time if he is not weaned off of it , he can develop a moon round face and what is called a buffalo hump on his upper back and he will look like he has no neck ! I’m so sorry you are going through this because prednisone is the beginning of further problems ! Try to have the doctors tell him what happens with prednisone ! Encourage him to take his nebulizer treatments also staying away from canned foods or processed foods can help because these foods contain thousands of harmful bi-products especially for asthmatics ! My best friend relies on exercise and fruits and vegetables , grains cheese potatoes jams and Spanish roots like Malanga and Yaotia , Yuca and Plantains ! About ten years ago we were dining out with our husbands and children and she was like your husband but that evening everything changed ! She got a severe asthma attack and stopped breathing and died but the EMTs brought her back ! She didn’t see a light or tunnels like some people say they do ! She said she was in an abyss of nothingness and unawareness ! From that day on she changed and got off the prednisone and became a total vegetarian , like my family and I are ! She hasn’t had an attack since then but never the less she carries her epinephrine shot every where she goes ! Stay strong for yourself and your family and continue to encourage him and maybe my friends true story will help too ! I was devastated and she’s only my best friend , I don’t even want to imagine how you would feel because this is your husband ! Just keep encouraging him and hopefully it will work ! April 15th Friday 2022 ! I meant to write to you yesterday but at the time I had to tend to something else ! I wanted to say that my best friend died from an asthma attack 10 years ago while our family were dining out ! I tried CPR until the Paramedics arrived they continued CPR all the way to the hospital ! She was pronounced dead but that one paramedic pushed the doctors aside and continued the CPR and brought her back to life ! She said that she was in an abyss of nothingness and unconsciousness ! She didn’t exist ! Anyway she became a total vegetarian 🌱 like my husband son and I and she got off prednisone and started mild exercises ! And completely stays off process foods because thousands of bi-products are put into them that are harmful ! That was 10 years ago and to this day she hasn’t coughed nor had an asthma attack but she’s always scared so she carries an epinephrine shot with her JUST IN CASE ! I don’t know your eating habits but maybe your eating canned foods such as spaghetti or Spam etc ! Another thing if you use oil to cook use corn oil because sneaky companies tend to mix peanut oil with soy , and label it corn oil or olive oil , so always read the fine print on things you eat and wear ! Believe it or not some people have gotten sick here in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 and the doctors call out Asthma when all along it’s the polyester or spandex that the people are allergic to ! I do hope your cough goes away ! That must be frightful going for example to a supermarket and not being able to stop coughing ! Please let me know if you get better ! I can't speak for all parasites, but tapeworms lay their eggs in the lungs causing inflammation and mucus causing you to cough where it's then swollen. This stimulates the stomach acid to release to break down the shell of the egg for the worms to hatch. This and other info is all online when you do your researching. @@gussewho2732
