Approximately 20 million people are suffering from prolonged post-covid symptoms, with cases increasing daily. In many people, lingering symptoms are still present (or reoccur) 6 to 9 months after Covid infection. While Covid-19 was originally viewed as a respiratory disease, we’ve now gained a new understanding of its impact on our blood vessels and how that affects the entire body. Among the most common lasting symptoms are fatigue, body aches, difficulty breathing, racing heart, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation.
My guest today, Dr. Leo Galland, is one of the most incredible resources on Covid and long-Covid syndrome and is someone who has had an immense impact on my own health and my career in Functional Medicine.
Dr. Galland is a board-certified internist, an international best-selling author, and one of the founders of Functional Medicine. Since the onset of the pandemic, he has devoted most of his time to research on Covid-19 and to the education of other health practitioners in understanding the biology of the disease. He has created a series of documents and videos on the long Covid syndrome intended for the general public and for health professionals. His latest publication, Long Covid: Prevention and Treatment, is available on his website.

It would be much more helpful and I think scientifically factual if he would separate people who were vaccinated with all these symptoms and adverse events with people who were not vaccinated. It is extremely medically significant important and honest to differentiate between these two population groups

I experienced neurological symptoms with COVID-19 and I had brain fog, memory loss, information retention loss, difficulty speaking/ communicating, and difficulty with writing and reading. I went to the doctor in 2022 and after being dismissed I got into a car accident a month later. The car accident is a good example of brain fog because I thought I had a green light when it was actually red, and when another car drove into the intersection, I had the nerve to honk at the car because I thought I had the right of way. The lowest point in my ordeal was in 2021 when I had a conversation with my mother, and ten minutes later I forgot about the contents of our conversation and was confused as to why my mom was asking personal questions. To forget a conversation with your mother at 19 years old is not normal. At this point in my time I felt like I had become Lenny from of Mice and Men because my cognitive abilities had decreased so much that I felt like I lost my personality, and I had to reconstruct a new one because I did in fact lose that personality.

Please read if you have long Covid. This worked for me! I’m not a doctor. I’m male, mid 50’s, average height, slender build. Got jab mar 2021 (required for job) a month or so started having slight difficulty breathing and got slowly worse as time went on. By September 2021 at times would throw up. Thought I was allergic to new dogs. Tried every allergy pill, nothing worked. Then tried Primatene Mist, everything cleared up, no issues with breathing at all. Never had asthma my entire life and now 18 months later still use it when breathing issues arise. Got Covid Jan 2022. Few weeks later slowly started having heart issues, skipping heart beats, instant high BPM, massive pounding heart beats. Did battery of tests at cardiology dept, they found no issues at all, along with other docs saying there is nothing medically wrong. The worst for me was feeling like is was going to faint multiple times a day. Mainly standing outside and talking, driving to work at night after dinner, and while at work sitting. Fainted once at work. Had to go on medical leave for months. Started to get better then it all came back slowly (also anxiety with almost panic attacks). Watched so many long covid videos and read 1,000+ comments and took notes on what people did. This is what i did and worked (i’d say I’m 95% free at this point). I stopped taking powder fiber supplements (can cause iron not to be absorbed). I’ve only eaten lunch and dinner before but now had carnation instant breakfast with milk in the AM and a banana with a men’s 50+ multi vitamin and one iron supplement pill at that time. Normal lunch and dinner but tried to have a more protein involved. Snacked on pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and beef jerky. An apple around 3pm. Would mix a packet of propel electrolytes with a few shakes of table salts in it and drink throughout the day. At dinner would take another multi vitamin and another iron pill. At night before bed took an Antihistamine pill. Would try and eat smaller meals more often throughout the day and night. Worked out on elliptical 25 minutes every other day. At 3 days noticed a feeling of not so severe symptoms. Every day was better and better and 3 weeks later, 0 skipping heartbeats, no feeling of fainting, no pounding heart. An amazing feeling just to feel normal after a year and a half of issues everyday. Hope my story and remedy works for at least one person

Though not the same, I can find parallels to your experience. I ended up getting cranial surgery to relieve "normal pressure hydrocephalus" or as I call it, the lakes (of spinal fluid) on my brain which pressured the nervous system. I couldn't walk straight, fainted often, had brain fog for sure. My covid came along on Feb 28 of 2020 just as the pandemic was getting started. I had to crawl to the bathroom because of breathlessness and chest pain. The surgery fixed all of my problems. I have a shunt which drains the extra fluid. A fancy but effective fix!

I was a very fit and strong heavy weightlifter at 55 when I got asymptomatic Covid. I had a runny nose, but I have year-round allergies, so I wasn't even sure I had anything. First, my eyesight got wonky. When I tracked a room, it was like my vision was trying to catch up and was wobbly. I'm an operatically trained hard rock singer who once broke a $5,000 tube mic with my voice. After Long Covid, I found that I never had enough breath. I used to hold a loud note for ages. Then I developed a speech impediment and could not pronounce "R" or long "O." It was like I lost elasticity at the back of my throat. This made swallowing very difficult. I choked on food constantly and was down to swallowing bits of chewed scrambled egg and washing it down with water. I basically swallowed it like a pill. My eyes were only half opened. Soon, I couldn't walk. Then I couldn't hold my own head up and had to use 2 travel pillows so I wouldn't asphyxiate. The tinnitus I got later, so I don't know if that was from the booster or if it popped up from Long Covid. For several months, I was basically an invalid. A close friend rushed me to the ER 3 times. The only times I was ever rushed to an ER before was from accidents doing extreme sports. I noticed my face changed. People used to ask me to see my license when I told them my age because they didn't believe me. Long Covid aged me about 15 or more years. People thought I was in my 30s. I was lean with a 6-pack because of years of heavy weightlifting and HIIT. I would run a couple of miles, jump on the floor and do 100 push-ups, and then start my lifting. I warmed up with 45s. After Long Covid, I gained about 25 pounds, which I can't take off. I don't recognize my body. My 6-pack now looks like a slightly cottage-cheese coated 4-pack that melts down I to a fanny pack. I was doing keto for many years because I can't process grains. After Covid, I developed chronic IBS 2 years later. I never had digestive issues before. My gastroenterologist could not fix it. I've been full-on carnivore since this August and cured my IBS in just 48 hours. I can no longer process vegetables or fruit. I don't mind because I love animal products and was never a fan of eating plants. I still have to be careful not to overdo it every day even though my max bench is now greater than before at 240 lbs. I used to have endless amounts of energy. There are so many symptoms that I had, and I can't even remember them all. It was like a bad nightmare. Every once in a while, I push myself a bit too far and pay for it. It's my cardiovascular endurance that still hasn't fully recovered. I also need 8 or 9 hours of sleep when 7 was perfect. Doctors are useless and give me a glassy-eyed stare when I tell them how things used to be. I never hardly saw the doctor before, so I feel like they don't believe me. My nickname used to be "Xena," and I have a tattoo of the warrior princess's symbol on my arm. I am not giving up, but this has become the battle of my life.

Yes I experienced long covid now since January 2023, shortness of breath, extreme fatigue, body aches and pains, headaches, and brain fog. I started kale smoothies daily in March which include 3 cups kale, 1/4 fresh pineapple, 1 cup wild blueberries, 2 ripe bananas, 2 cloves garlic, 1/2 lemon, 1 handful chia, 3 inch ginger, filtered water. I drink 20 ounces a day. I store it in jars in the fridge and end up with 3 days, then I do it all again. I started also probiotics, milk thistle, mega vitamins and minerals along with DHA. I gently bounce on a rebounder daily. Take a hot bath daily with baking soda, Epsom salts, and Himalayan pink salt all as 2/3 cups. Just finally this week I have been able to bound up and down stairs again! Prayers and meditation daily as well, believe me, I am so grateful to be feeling better again! 🙏💜💐💜🙏 It is a fight and a struggle! He's lost his job, his doctor refered him to psychiatrist that wanted to treat him with time release adderall that was over $300.00 a month. He was attempting to get disability and the psychiatric said he didn't think he was disabled. He is 30 years old. He began working at 15 and was promoted in every job he worked. After covid he was exhausted all the time. With drew socially and has fallen into deep depression since his fatigue never got better. Help me know what to start with. He has no job, no money, no insurance and his father and I are on Social security. Before covid he had weight loss surgery and passed all the evaluations. He went to the gym everyday. He even had nasalplasty to improve his breathing. He was doing so well. He can't exercise and the depression has left him hopeless. I am on my knees praying he doesn't resort to suicide.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. Jesus came as God in the flesh to save His people. We are to renew our minds. and call those things that be not as though they be. Speak positive things. After Jesus took our sins upon His own Body, and died in excruciating pain and agony for us so that we might be saved, the Romans entered His church, and it became satanic, so the Christians went to the Greek Orthodox Church, but Satan finds his way into every church, and in every church, there are believers, make believers, and unbelievers. In a prophesy, God said to tell everyone that the kingdom of heaven is at hand, so repent and be baptized, every one of you in the Name of Jesus and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Jesus died for many, not all, and after death, it’s “Once to die, then comes the judgement”. Jesus rose again to life on the third day after He was crucified, and died at Calvary, and He’s alive in Heaven, but he is coming back very soon to take the dead and His elect. Believers will be blessed, and unbelievers will be cursed. No sinners can get into the kingdom of Heaven. They can’t see the kingdom of heaven, and they can’t enter in. JOHN 3:3 & JOHN 3:5. The denominational churches are the daughters of the mother church, and as the mother church preaches false doctrine to get more members so that they can make more money, the denominational churches follow their ways. People that commit suicide can’t enter into heaven but will be on the wide road that leads to hell. It’s important to be ‘born again’ with the Spirit of God. What you need to do is pray fervently to God with your whole heart, all your strength and might, and ask him what you can do for your son, in the Name of Jesus, then listen for an answer. Don’t give up. Have faith in God. He knows everything. He is Wisdom and He loves you and your son. Paul the apostle preached two baptisms, one for John the Baptist, and the other, Jesus’ baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire. Get yourself baptized in the Name of Jesus, (not “in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”, because if the Name Jesus is not mentioned that is just a title, and you wouldn’t even be baptized). I have prayed for both of you. May God bless you and your son with all heavenly blessings.

Thank you Dr. Hyman and Dr. Gallant for all of your information on COVID. Every Physician I have seen in my state where I reside seem to still be in the dark. Or they don't seem to want to discuss COVID/COVID-19. But I feel that here in America many more STUDIES should be happening. I lost my mother to COVID in 2021, and I got COVID in 2022. It was very traumatic and heartbreaking for me. Now I can seriously say to any medical professionals that my body definitely "changed" after I recovered from COVID. I used to walk, jog, and go to a fitness place and I was working full time in 2022. I had to quit because I have had Asthma all my adult life. I've also had Arthritis but nothing was a problem until after COVID, I NOW feel like my bones/body aged 20 yrs. I hurt bad on lower back, knee's, hands, shoulders, & feet. Every day I struggle with throat, sinus, chest, extreme mucus. I'm still praying 🙏 for better health and also for all other folks that continue to deal with afterwards COVID. Please continue to do research on ALL COVID to help people live healthier. God bless you all

I'm 67 and at the age of 65 had covid and ended up in the hospital. I unfortunately can't get immunized because I am allergic severely to both flu and pneumonia vaccines. No medical professionals providing vaccinations will vaccinate me for Covid. My long covid is still with me with lack of smell and taste, covid brain fog making it difficult to remember some words, and where you were in the middle of a sentence, when specific words at specific times just won't come to mind. I've been questioned by doctors thinking I am contending with lists of things in my life, and been misdiagnosed a lot. But, I keep doing what I can to protect myself and others. Just because I can't get immunized doesn't mean I don't take precautions to help keep myself and others safe.

Then there are other family members who have now developed heart problems and cancers, and this has all come about since covid reared its ugly head. I got the first jab, and a month later I couldn't raise my arms outstretched arms above my head, and since then I've also had covid Three times, which has caused me to have brain fog, eyesight problems, digestion tract problems, back pain, and major fatigue, but the worst thing is the breathing, it feels as though the muscles that drive the lungs have been weakened. All this in Two short years, and I just want to feel normal again. I just have to add, while I was at my local hospital last night with my family, it was like a war zone, the amount of people in there was unbelievable, every corridor had people in beds all lined on both sides of the walls, this government should be ashamed about what they are doing to our NHS, this is what they want after all, they want a US style system, so they'll crash the NHS to get it. Milk and coffee are two things I would attribute to my allergies and body inflammation, weight gain, shredded my digestive system, onset of anxiety and panic. Covid just amped up the symptoms of pain and blood circulation issues. I started drinking corporate coffee at 19 daily or multiple times a day first thing in the morning. I’m 38. Since (unconfirmed) covid before it hit the media, my health took a really quick dive, for no reason. I couldn’t even work out anymore. Now 3 years later I’ve gotten covid a couple more times (confirmed and unconfirmed) and since this last bout stopped coffee and milk and fast until 2pm. I feel better but still notice random pains in my body joints and muscles, mild fatigue, and blood circulation issues or “pooling” in the ankles/base legs.

The first time was so bad, I thought I would die. The second was the worst because I was hallucinating and went into fits where I tore my clothing and bedsheets. This last time was much milder, but no picnic. Now, I'm left with impaired memory, vision alterations that have made my glasses useless, and serious sleep issues. For a month, I lost my sense of balance and nearly killed myself falling to the pavement when stepping of a curb downtown. I'm still foggy, can't do arithmetic, suffer from bouts of severe depression and anxiety, and just feel like I'm half the man I used to be. Long Covid is not a fantasy. I had severe Long Covid for 3+ months just over two years ago. One day - being my fittest, athletic self, to the next with totally debilitating symptoms, joint pain, neuromuscular issues, severe fatigue, breathing difficulties when trying to exercise etc. (I felt like I'd aged 40 years). It's a long chat with Dr Galland above - but a number of key points seem to hold very true, from GI imbalance, mast cell activation syndrome / histamines (for any of us who have had a history of allergies), nutrient deficiencies; to learning to be patient and gradually progressive with return to exercise. I would say - listen to the integrative medical specialists advice, there's a lot of very useful help here. 2 Years on - most of what I've experienced feels reversed. Occasionally, I still have to manage certain minor elements (e.g. if eating high histamine foods around social times of year - so I have to cut the excess again) - but it's taught me to aim to live healthier and get BALANCE. Life is too short to suffer with LC or similar conditions - You can turn it around!

I found this so interesting. I have had long covid since early 2020. Mainly dysautonomia. I started watching the Zoe podcasts which give great advice on restoring the gut biome. I also started intermittent fasting. The first thing to normalize was my sleep. This was almost immediate. I do my own cooking and stay away from grains. Yesterday I went out for lunch and ordered what I thought was a healthy meal. Within minutes I had all the relapse symptoms. This gives me hope as it has helped me to realize that with proper management, I could restore my health.

Reading so many shared experiences & grateful (though wish it is not this way for everyone) for the company. It made me think about a long COVID sufferers gathering to exchange stories and validate each other’s experiences, then chuckled in my head about how none of us can show up because of our crippling symptoms. Well, I guess it can be the world’s first ‘invisible’ gathering. Only thing good out of long COVID so far is how it helped me further develop my dark humour.

I had mild Covid in 2021 (after a 2 hr flight) even though I had all the vaccines. I felt the 1st booster vaccine (after the 2 initial vaccines) aggravated my asthma. Now 2023, I realised it's a lifestyle change as my gut/stomach is sensitive to spicy, acidic foods eg cheese, diary pruducts, alcohol, etc. To balance the acid-alkaline in the gut to avoid coughs, occasional diarrhoea, I take a large tablespoon honey before bed and 1st thing in morning to heal the gut. Also tonic water, bottled aloe vera juice, dessicated coconut helps heal gut inflammation to improve absorption of food nutrients.

Today 7.11.23, my gut problems/extreme sensitivity (like IBS symptoms) has resolved but have to be careful not to eat too spicy foods and to balance with alkaline foods. I also just found out boiling (1 hr) pre-packed Chinese herbal soup, called dried white fungus soup mix, 100 g rebalanced my gut. This saved me buying tonic water, aloe Vera Juice, etc.

It got so bad by December of 2022 that I had a sciatic nerve pain for 6 months. The pain was horrible I couldn't walk. I've been doing many different kinds of therapy to heal myself. Two recent doctors spoke about long Covid for me. I was also dealing with 2 lovely parents who had Alzheimer's and my stress levels were high which sure didn't help my inflammation. I'm hoping my functional doctor and kinesiologist will help me with my brain fog, tiredness, depression and inflammation issues. Lots to solve, takes time and effort. And LOTS of out of pocket expenses.

I'm thinking of starting to walk outside tomorrow to prevent this complications of blood clot. God bless you doctor. I think you nailed it. I work in medical fields and don't even get it. Thank you for all these recommendations doctor. I grew up in Asia and our parents always gave us tea, ginger tea, turmeric. My Mom boil a ginger with brown sugar when qe all get sick in addition to the garlic and onions. They also pin a dried garlic to our clothes when qe are babies to stay away from witches. 😊 We grew up with yakult, vics and white flowers. One other thing my Mom see the faith healer before seeing her medical doctor and this faith healer actually prescribed herbs and make his own cocktail of liquid medicine to apply to the painful parts of your body, besides the prayers. When my kid was in the icu I sent his shirt and she gave it to the faith healer. He gave me a cocktail of herb meds and some prayers. My brother doesn't believe my Mom and her faith healer before but now she was gone he became like my Mom. He goes to the faith healer for all ailments and body massage and therapy. My brother is fortunate enough to own a resort and he also listen to his suggestion to put the Virgin Mary's statue in the middle of it. It might be strange to all of you but pretty some of the villages in our towns still practice this methods of healing. If I am there I'm sure I will see this faith healer first before going to the hospital or doctor's office. Thank you for the great discussion about long covid effect. Although I've exercised, fasted and was on a super healthy diet before I got sick 3 times. So it may be subjective. At this point I might try anything. If it kills me, it beat the "S"

I just got covid again three weeks ago and I take a couple of steps and am fatigued. My stomach issues act up when I am unable to take a regular breath. I work fulltime, have two grandbabies I adopted that are now 8 and 10 years old. Very hard to keep up on a daily basis. I pray for a solution each day.

Hi, just came across your channel. You have blown me away! Everything you have described i have got. I’m a staff nurse [rather I was]. I caught covid December 2020. Took the two weeks off. Went back to work but felt unwell. March 2021 diagnosed with long covid. From there things got worse. The long covid was horrific itself, the June 2020 I was rushed via ambulance because I couldn’t breathe. Happened quickly. I was told I was presenting as I had active covid. X-rays showed the broken glass associated with chest X-rays and ct scans. I needed antibiotics for the inflammation in my lungs. I was also on a non invasive ventilator, following this I still felt ill but non specific, fatigue, vomiting, this went on and on until July then again I was rushed into ITU I was checking my sats they went to 73% when paramedics arrived I was happily hypoxic. This admission was much worse. On the 4th day I suffered a stemi heart attack. They then put me into a medically induced coma. After 2 weeks they managed to wake me up but I was going into multi organ failure. My consultant says it’s inflammation on my lungs something must be triggering it but I don’t know what? cardiologist said he got to the clot and chased to others! I keep thinking there has to be a link either to vaccination or the actual covid! All I know is I have gone from an active 55yr old who worked full time long days, to fighting for my life on life support given 72hrs to live. I’m still alive it was a fight to get back. I’m left weak, jobless, I have lost my life basically. It has even taken my hair! Falling out in clumps. I’m blessed to be alive but angry and damned if I will let it kill me. Thank you for being the 1st person to actually make sense to me. I knew this was happening to me, my immune system is in constant overdrive. I am dreading June and July. What if it’s pollen? I can’t fight that crap again.

I'm 46, and I get fatigued, No energy. I get brain fog, where I can't think. And I get shortness of breath. I never went to the doctors office before unless I broke a bone. After I got COVID-19 IV had problems. About 2 years ago I got super dizzy and my knees bent and started shaking like I was having a seizure then after a few seconds I recovered. Feb. 2023 I had a hard time even working then in Sept I was outside sitting down, and got light headed and dizzy so I went inside and got a hot flash I went upstairs and got nauseous and went to the bathroom door and I got very dizzy then my knees bent again and started shaking uncontrollably. My mind is telling my body to stand up straight and my body wasn't doing it. Then my body completely shut off and I went unconscious and woke up on the floor and my chest was was tight. I wasn't sure where I was when I opened my eyes then I realized I was on the ground I got on my feet went to the bathroom and threw up. I was still dizzy for a few more minutes then everything cleared up. I took leave from work and saw a cardiologist and neurologist. The cardiologist said the echo of your heart is good and the arteries in your neck are not clogged and the heart monitor I wore says everything is good. The neurologist said the EEG shows your brain is good and the MRI shows everything is good. I'm telling them something is wrong. They said I might have vasovagal syncope (fainting) I thought I had a seizure because my brain wasn't communicating with my body. My body wasn't responding to my brain at all. I had no problems before COVID-19. I saw a video on long covid on Dr John Campbells channel and now I'm trying to learn as much as I can. I'm also unvaccinated for covid

I couldn't eat or drink which is good because I couldn't walk to the bathroom 2 doors down. They told me it was good to have a strong reaction because it was working. I went to cut the grass 3 month later and had to stop after 15 min. S.O.B. and tachycardia. I cant exert myself. I was 59 at the time. Always active. I told my doctor. She recommended no boosters til the bivalent came out. I came down with covid 3 times after that. One time hospitalized after cold and fever was severely dehydrated. K+ 2.7 among anion gap and everything else out of whack. Can't even list all abnormals. Couldn't hear except music that wasn't there. couldn't talk because of the acid in my throat burned vocal cords. Had 3 days of vomiting and diarrhea. O2 sats were fine. Interesting that you mentioned infections can cause long term problems with inflammation, gut bacteria, etc. I had a severe case of diverticulitis. I had two infection pockets in my intestines, one was the size of a baseball, the other the size of a plum. I was admitted to the hospital immediately, and put on a broad spectrum IV antibiotic for 10 days, with no food or drink in order to not irritate my intestines (I had a TIPP line), to see if the infection pockets would go away and I could avoid having 18" of my intestines removed. The antibiotic didn't work, so I had surgery and received a temporary colostomy (which isn't as bad as everyone thinks it is... I'm serious about that). 7 months later, the colostomy was reversed & I recv'd a temporary ileostomy. 5 months later, I had the ileostomy reversed. During all of that time, and for about another year after that, I couldn't eat anything with fiber in it, nor could I eat things that were too thick going through my digestive system (i.e. steak, peanut butter, bananas, crackers, anything that remains thick in the digestive tract). I had to eat things that were super easy to break down. All of this was due to so many areas of scar tissues, and eating certain types of foods caused very painful blockages. I had to eat a horribly bad diet, because my intestines couldn't handle a healthy one at the time. I gained 100 lbs because of it. Needless to say, I developed non-alcoholic fatty liver. Not long after my first surgery, I started having muscle and joint pain body wide. It increasingly got so bad that I was finally sent to a Rheumatologist, & was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. Not one single med he prescribed worked to reduce my pain, at all. After two years I finally stopped going to him. I was convinced it was a misdiagnosis. For the past five years I have tried various types of vitamins (because symptoms match a lot of deficiencies), I have hair loss too, so had an extensive test on my thyroid which came back negative. I was finally able to start eating healthy foods again, so reversed the fatty liver, and my muscle and joint pain & weakness isn't quite as severe as it was, but it's still there. I recently read some studies on gut bacteria, so ordered a liquid product that has live pre, pro and post biotics. I've only been using them for about two weeks, so haven't noticed any effects yet. I'm hoping that my problem is just super bad gut bacteria that has been causing all of my issues and inflammation. Oh, that's another symptom, I crave surgery foods... but I've been tested multiple times for diabetes and it's always negative. I CAN NOT seem to find a doctor in Orlando, Florida that deals with these issues I have. It's REALLY frustrating. I WANT MY LIFE BACK! I'm not going to give up. By the way, I've never had covid. I live on 2.5 acres and am pretty isolated, and when covid started, I stayed away from everyone, because I already had top many health issues and didn't need more. I'm convinced that gut bacteria is my problem. How can I find a competent doctor to help me with this, and help me create an eating plan to improve my situation? And it needs to be a doctor that actually takes health insurance, because the couple docs I did find in my area don't take insurance. I can't afford their fees without insurance. Sigh. I want help, but can't find the right kind of doctor. Oh, and I get body wide muscle cramps that were severe, but aren't as bad as they were... so I'm doing something that has eased that symptom. Eating starches seemed to make my muscle cramps worse, and I couldn't find any articles or studies that explained that. I can only eat starches about once a week in order to prevent muscle cramps getting worse. Ok, if anyone knows of a doctor in Central Florida that can help me with these issues, PLEASE let me know. Thanks. ❤

I was 36 and got Covid for the 2nd time July 2022 and I was pregnant and I do have Schleraderma but was pretty healthy. I started to get short of breath but figured it was probably the pregnancy WRONG! I ended crawling upstairs to my husband needing to go to er, where they were a trauma hospital and they transferred me to another trauma hospital where they kept me for two days, and then life lighted me to Cleveland clinic. I was in the hospital all of August and some of September they sent me home for four days and then I was life flighted back where they had to do an emergency C-section and take the baby out and I was only 30 weeks pregnant! before they started to perform c-section,My lungs had filled with fluid and completely failed on the or table! They had to intubate me and put an ECMO line and me and they delivered the baby, and she also had to have intubation. I was in a medically induced coma for over a month and half! Then all of a sudden I had internal bleeding to where they did two exploratory abdomen surgeries after giving me 22 bags of blood, started having high blood pressure, which I had never experienced amongst many other problems. I ended up being in Cleveland clinic 97 days very sick on oxygen and then I had to go to a rehabilitation hospital to learn to rewalk, talk, eat everything again. I did not get to meet my newborn daughter until she was almost 10 weeks old and it was just a quick visit at a rehabilitation hospital. I have been home since December 2022 and it’s now April and I’m still on high amounts of oxygen, extremely ill, praying to be progressing! I am a full-time stay at home mom and wife to seven children who all played sports football, basketball, baseball, softball, cheerleading, dance. And now I am connected to an oxygen cord 24 seven I can barely walk. I’m doing physical therapy twice a week. My lungs are completely ruined from Covid. It’s forced me to have to go on chemotherapy drugs, amongst a lot of other things. I never was vaccinated against Covid, but I had had it previously once before and it was just a mild cold that I got over but it’s been devastating to my Health in my life and my family’s life!

I had long COVID. I started on NMN, transresveratol, TMG, Fisetin , Quercitin and Apigenin. All purchased from DoNotAge. They work. Three days on it my symptoms began to lessen after 4 months of heavy fatigue, winded, brain fog etc. It saved my life!! NMN / transresveratol on You Tube ...to learn more how restores energy to your cells. Dr David Sinclair using it to slow aging but anyone with a disease begins to improve on it. Give it 6 months, start lower dose and work up to 1000 mg of NMN and Transresveratol. UCLA giving IV drips to treat long COVID... Oral supplements work just takes longer and far less expensive.

Yes, you're describing my sister here. Since June 2021, she's always sick. She's seen lung specialists, pulmonary doctors, heart doctors, brain scan, swelling of limbs , headaches, pains everywhere, breathing difficulties, severe asthma. She's one of the most extreme cases!

@@chinookvalley The person you're replying to had Covid very early on - nearly a year before the vaccinations even existed. I have a loved one who also caught the virus in early 2020, & he's been very sick ever since then. So no, not everything is related to vaccines.

Insulin resistance and a high carb " American food " diet causes a lot of these symptoms too. Long Covid folks may want to do a Keto type diet while recovering.

I was very sick with the covid in 2021. I was hospitalized for 10 days I also had pneumonia, sepsis, anxiety , loss of muscle unable to walk. I also lost all my hair, appetite and I also came down with Raynaud's pheromones. I do have a lot of fatigue brain fog plus my heart even stopped when I arrived at the hospital. Going on two years I'm having more and more complications.

So sorry to hear this 😢. My integrated Dr has kept me alive after having C 4 times. I can't function at all without lots of endocrine support. Regular doctors can't help. Best to you.

Got COVID, July 2022, I was so sick for 7 days, I was begging for death, I was 59 yrs old, few health issues, and looked 40 ish yrs old, ( people were shocked when they found out my real age, ) I took good care of myself. I could barely walk from the front to back of my home, to feed pets, I was EXHAUSTED, I would go back to bed, for 2 hrs, then get up maybe up 10 minutes, and back down again, this went on for 5 months, I haven't slept, maybe 1 to two hours of sleep now, have horrible nite sweats, to the point I change my sheets every nite, and here's the kicker, LOST ALL MY BEAUTIFUL LONG HAIR, IN FACT EVERY PIECE OF HAIR ON MY BODY- HEAD HAIR, EYELASHES, EYEBROWS, LEG/ARM HAIR, I AM DEVASTATED!!!
