Awesome episode! My comment is like the whole economic crisis works , like just throw out everything that is broken and buy a new one, it’s good for business, with that philosophy in mind,is just like body snatching, throw out this sick body and snatch a new one and not care about how your only body got broken in the first place. Repeating a process over and over again expecting a different result is literally the definition of insanity! Imo

I hope Dr. Hyman didn’t interrupt Dr. Casey as she was saying something about a movement. He cut her off (around 40:00). After he talked about something else. She didn’t go back to it anymore.

What an incredible human. Thank you for putting out the information Dr. Casey. With my last blood panel results I had what it feels like my first eye to eye conversation with my doctor. At first he got a little upset with me having all of the knowledge and question his statements but then he got really geeky with me literally having fun discussing over things in regard to metabolic health. Being educated about those markers is so much fun! ❤

4:48 Every junior doctor I've ever spoken to will share the standard story of their time as an intern - don't bother asking (your senior) 'why?' because they'll give you a pat mom and dad answer 'because I said so' 😢

Paul Chek has been teaching this for forty years and no one listened now you see all these experts popping up grifting all the way to the bank on this matter. Just Eat Real Food. Aajonus is the best advice, but most Americans are to brainwashed to understand the depth of his work and how it can provide real guidance.

I agree with Calley about Ozempic. My friend has been on it for about 2 years. I started doing diet changes (low carbs etc) about a year ago when I realised through these videos that I’m insulin resistant. We’ve both lost a lot of weight and fixed other health problems. I’ve been trying so hard to get her to switch from Ozempic to dietary changes but she won’t stop the Ozempic. She can eat whatever she wants (breads, sugar, etc) and can keep the weight off so what is her incentive to change?? I prefer a non-pharmaceutical method as I think it’s healthier. But most people will stay with the easier option. I don’t believe that most people will stop Ozempic once they’re on it unless they suffer bad side effects. On a side note I love Dr Hyman and think he’s very kind and knowledgeable.

I started drinking apple cider vinegar/water mix and strong lemon juice because I found that my stomach acid was too low and causing the acid reflux and excess gas. It works like a charm. Now I have plenty of acid in my stomach to digest food properly and now I can stand in a crowd, confident I won't clear the crowd.

I’m a retired veteran and use the “military” medical system. I see my primary care doctor once a year to do a physical and talk about my health. Generally I don’t have a complaint but I’ve noticed the conversations are not about health. They are about being sick. I go to the local base for my care. It’s not free but that’s the doctor’s office I have to use based on my health plan policy. Each time I go in I see a different doctor who is clueless to my health. He/she reads my chart but really doesn’t know me. This last visit was eye opening. The doctor started getting frustrated with me because I made an appointment without having anything wrong with my health. I mentioned I get a physical every year and that I felt it was a good idea. I felt like he wanted me to be sick so he could write me a prescription. Finally I mentioned that my lower back was starting to give me problems (more than usual) and he said take ibuprofen and come back if that doesn’t work and we’ll think about a procedure and more meds. Nothing about nutrition or exercise or stretching. He didn’t recommend doing any blood work because I looked fine. I’m 56 years old…. Do I have to look sick to be sick? I know doctors are truly needed but quality of life and preventative medicine is not in their best interests…. I guess. I didn’t take the ibuprofen. I watched what I ate… 99.99% real food and hit the gym. Doing well…. Thank God

There are not short cuts or hacks, longevity is a marathon built on three daily disciplines - 1. clean whole food diet, 2. healthy caloric restriction, 3. daily exercise regimen. This will ensure your insulin and ASP are balanced, and you will look and feel amazing.

This Dr. Calley keeps bringing children obesity into the discussion, Ozempic can NOT be prescribed to children under 18 years of age, so what is his problem? I don't understand what he opposes to something that can change a person's life. I take hormone therapy for cancer, and that has messes up my weight, no matter what I do, I don't loose wait. I have put 30 pounds and I can't get rid of it. I want to try Ozempic.

You know what people who have never been obese miss? They miss it every. Single. Time. It's not about eating less and moving more. It's about the food noise experienced by people with obesity. They also miss the chronic feeling of hunger and the inability to feel satiated. I just started taking Wegovy and overnight that all stopped. My self-control, my motivation, my drive did not change. I am the same person. I just don't wake up thinking about food. I don't feel constant hunger. I don't feel the need to keep eating after I know I've eaten enough. If I never lost another pound I would keep using Wegovy to just have the peace in my own mind. All of the sudden I am enjoying healthier eating and exercising. All of the sudden I am able to "eat less and move more" without feeling deprived. This is a turning point in obesity treatment. I agree that our food environment is toxic. If 30% of the population suddenly were eating smaller portions and eating healthier it would change our whole economy and ultimately our food environment. I am team semaglutide for sure. It may not work for everyone but it will change obesity treatment, and how we understand obesity and that is a very good thing.

Good health Care and good/healthy housing is a privilege. Doctors/hospitals have failed people. Large US municipalities are not keeping landlords accountable and have failed people. Young people are not getting a Fair start in life.
