I exactly know how you feel and I as well went through the same phase but listened to her whole album around the clock for 1 year in my kitchen and feeling the same way of my spouse of 20yrs at the time, and after working 23 hours around the clock 8 years later, I finally put in for my divorce.

this song makes me cry because i am 12 and my dad was a drug addict but is getting better in rehab. the part that makes me cry is when she sings "you put your arms around me and im home." this part just makes me think of the day he will come home.this song also makes me think of my popaw who past away September 26 2017. 5 days after my birthday. but i have been thru alot in my life, abuse,moving multiple times,suicidal thoughts,bullying,low self esteem. and my popaw was paraliyzed on his whole right side. but he helped me thru it. But i go to music as my help ressource.i love singing and dancing. my family has always said that i am bad at them but guess who was always m biggest fans. Daddy and poapw.

I love singing and dancing, but I'm not really good at dancing. My best friend is the person in my life who makes this song meaningful. Last I checked (6+ months ago), he told me that he only wanted to be friends, but he understands me in ways no one else does, he is a great emotional support person, he has a great sense of humor, and he made me feel like I was home even though I was 2000+ miles away from my real home. However, I have been limiting contact in recent months because I have been hurt before, I’m afraid that he won’t want to be my friend anymore if he finds out how much I miss him during these uncertain times, I am afraid that he will hate me if he finds out that my feelings for him have only gotten stronger since separating, and my OCD has me convinced that he is much happier without me in his life. While there is a part of me saying that I have to let him go and move on with my life so I don’t get hurt again, a much bigger part of me doesn’t want to and feels that it would be best for me to stay in touch regardless of whether our friendship progresses to more or not. Regardless of whether it will always remain friendship or it will progress to more, one thing I know for sure is that I didn’t relate to this song to the extent I do now until my current best friend entered my life.

Years later, i finally take attention to the lyrics As someone who are afraid to falling in love, this give me nightmares bcs it makes me realize, one day i have to open up myself for someone, no matter if i want to or not.

Just watched a Hallmark movie Stop the Wedding. Fell in love with this song. I searched and found it right away. Still wiping away tears. I am 72, and can honestly say that even though I was married for 26 years, have two children and 6 grandchildren, I have never really had a true love in my life. I guess some people find their person, and some just think they’ve found their person. I never did. Feeling very sentimental about it, because this song gets you right in the heart. Exactly 3 months ago, on December 12th, my daughter’s husband passed away. They were each other’s person. 💔😢

this song reminds me of my boyfriend. we spent so much time together. we watch a lot of movies/ youtube videos, eat out at restaurants, commute, talk about life, our plans, dreams and frustrations at night, etc. He's so sweet. He always tries to make me laugh. We both love to hug and kiss each other. I feel safe whenever I'm surrounded by his arms. I felt that I depended too much on him. Now he's too busy with work and graduate studies and I said I am going to give him space so he would not be overwhelmed with everything on his plate. every line of the song just pierces my heart because that's how I feel for him. I hope he doesn't lose interest in me. I hope that he will miss me after our time apart.

@@eeveemaster8902 'never letting go' is a clingy attitude at best, and toxic at worst. a relationship is a two-way thing. if one person is giving 120%, but the other isn't, it isn't pleasant for either of them (the dynamic isn't that of an equal relationship, there's hierarchy, someone's on a pedestal, and that's never good). P.S. or i could be wrong as well. don't always trust random advice on the internet (including mine), because we don't know anything about the specific relationship that OP is in

When I hear love songs like this I often think of God. The lyrics "You put your arms around me and I'm home" is definitely what God does for me.

This song I dont know why but it seems like everytime I hear it I cry like a baby!!!!! It is just an emotional song... And like it reminds me of how I was with my ex boyfriend. Like this song just speaks to people who deal with sadness or they are just feeling like they are not doing anything right. You just feel like the world is just turning their back on you. It makes you feel like you are at the top of the of the tallest mountain but yet nobody hears your cries cuz you are facing their backs. So when you fall you just hope before is too late for someone to catch you since You are already falling. Someone will turn their way to you before you fall off that mountain!!

I love Christina Perri and It makes me feel like I’m a dysfunctional person who sings so perfectly now. ❤️😍❤️

Whenever I'm feeling anxious or alone, I always play this song for more than a decade now and up until now this song give me peace.

Forever grateful to the bold n the beautiful for introducing me to this song.

I just found this song last night, it’s amazing how it can inspire such different feelings depending on the day and the mood you’re in. I listened to it a lot last night and it made me kind of sad because it has that sort of melancholic undertone, even if the lyrics are positive. After a few listens and this morning it feels more positive, and like a message of strength and the instrumentals sound almost more “hopeful”. It’s amazing and so hard to find a song that can inspire two completely different feelings depending on the listen and day, and it requires such an intricacy and such small details that can change the mood of a song on how it can flip at will

I had a long distance relationship of 10 years before I got married to him. That was right before COVID and again we got separated for almost 2 years.
