Lyrics:
Makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder
Makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter
Made me learn a little bit faster
Made my skin a little bit thicker
Makes me that much smarter
So thanks for making me a fighter
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh-oh-oh, yeah, yeah, ohh

She was the breakout star in the 2000's, she was new, original, talented, out-of-the-box vision, she was raw, unafraid to explore with genres, makeup, hair and fashion. It's so sad that media and people tried to frame her because of her voice "she should just sing" Yes, she is an incredible vocalist, but her mind and vision for art and music was and still is, very strong. What an ICON. She's a LEGEND

There is a story behind those moths. There was a species of moth that were continuously being preyed upon. Their predators proliferated and targeted them so well that in one generation they changed their color to a darker version to avoid predation. They were able to successfully avoid becoming prey long enough to pass their genes on to the next generation and due to the predators not being able to recognize their targets due to their darker hue they died off. Because of the lack of predators the next generation was born with the characteristic light hue that is generally characteristic of their species because it was now safe again. This is a trauma response that ensured the survival of their species and shows how evolution can happen in only one generation. Food for thought. One of my favorite music videos. Just thought I’d leave this here.

"Fighter" After all you put me through You'd think I'd despise you But in the end, I wanna thank you 'Cause you made me that much stronger Well, I thought I knew you Thinkin' that you were true Guess I, I couldn't trust, called your bluff Time is up 'cause I've had enough You were there by my side Always down for the ride But your joy ride just came down in flames 'Cause your greed sold me out in shame, mhm After all of the stealing and cheating You probably think that I hold resentment for you But uh-uh, oh no, you're wrong 'Cause if it wasn't for all that you tried to do I wouldn't know just how capable I am to pull through So I wanna say thank you, 'cause it Makes me that much stronger Makes me work a little bit harder Makes me that much wiser So thanks for making me a fighter Made me learn a little bit faster Made my skin a little bit thicker Makes me that much smarter So thanks for making me a fighter Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh-oh-oh, yeah, yeah, ohh Never saw it coming All of your backstabbing Just so you could cash in on a good thing Before I realized your game I heard you're goin' 'round Playin' the victim now But don't even begin feeling I'm the one to blame 'Cause you dug your own grave After all of the fights and the lies Guess you're wanting to hold me But that won't work anymore (No more, a-ha, it's over) 'Cause if it wasn't for all of your torture I wouldn't know how to be this way now and never back down So I wanna say thank you, 'cause it Makes me that much stronger Makes me work a little bit harder It makes me that much wiser So thanks for making me a fighter Made me learn a little bit faster Made my skin a little bit thicker Makes me that much smarter So thanks for making me a fighter How could this man I thought I knew Turn out to be unjust, so cruel? Could only see the good in you Pretended not to see the truth You tried to hide your lies, disguise yourself Through living in denial But in the end you'll see, you won't stop me I am a fighter and I (I'm a fighter) I ain't gon' stop (I ain't gonna stop) There is no turning back I've had enough Makes me that much stronger Makes me work a little bit harder (Yeah) It makes me that much wiser (Oh yeah) So thanks for making me a fighter Made me learn a little bit faster (Yeah) Made my skin a little bit thicker (Yeah, yeah, yeah) Makes me that much smarter (Yeah) So thanks for making me a fighter (Fighter) You thought I would forget but I, I remembered (Ooh-ooh-ooh) 'Cause I remembered (Ooh-ooh-ooh) I remembered You thought I would forget (Ooh-ooh) I remembered (Ooh-ooh) 'Cause I remembered (Ooh) I remembered Makes me that much stronger (Ooh-ooh) Makes me work a little bit harder (Ooh-ooh) It makes me that much wiser So thanks for making me a fighter Made me learn a little bit faster Made my skin a little bit thicker Makes me that much smarter So thanks for making me a fighter Writer(s): Scott Spencer Storch, Christina Aguilera album: "Stripped" (2002)

this song is saved so many people. As a hardcore hip hop fan, this song is for real warriors who are down. When Em dropped recovery it happened that i was a heroin/crack addict, i did terrible shit to good people. I started at 18 and stopped at 21. 3 years of hell, jail, people around me dying, 2overdoses myself, jail, 3 times a gun point bland on my forehead. I did everything in the book. now 11 years later i am a clean dude and i can only thank myself, this song, and eminem's recovery album. Not God, i'm an atheist, not a rehab center where you turn into a vegetable, sheer will and motivation. when you only have 3 choices in life, death by OD or violence of the 'game', or suck it up for 3 weeks of hell where your only motivations is your realization that no one/thing can help you other than your damn self and never get trapped again... i hope they know how many people they helped in the big picture....☮
