This is a song that needed to be and had to be written and he nailed it.. there have been several times in my life after a break-up when I thought .. what is she listening to .. he is wonderin if she is still holding out for him or if she moved on .. if her heart is healed or still broken .. or has she found someone new. Incredible song .. Jamel just lil while back you were trying to reach 20k subscribers .. now you have a huge following and you deserve it .. always a pleasure to see what you are up to.

I'm sure by now that someone has already posted this, but I'm not into reading every single post...I come for the music & reaction. Chris is singing about a breakup with his girl. He's putting on their favorite song & listening to it over & over. He's asking her what is SHE listening to...a cover band, a sad song, a song about falling in love because she's met someone new & had moved on. He's wondering whether she's over him or is she still hurting like he is. Listen to it again. Btw, just wanted to say I'd love to dance with you...love watching you dancing to some Steely Dan/Doobie Brothers/ Skynyrd, etc. I can tell by the way you move that you can dance on that floor! It'd be a LOT of fun & good times! No offense/disrespect meant to any wife/girlfriend/Sig other...j/s, you got some moves!

It's an interesting first verse to me because it looks like the song he's listening to is about her, (whoever she is) because she's "in every line."and it takes him back in time.To good times and moments they've had together, perhaps. So now he's wondering, well,"What are you (she) listening to" Then he lists a whole lot of things,is it this or that? as if he's trying to find out what's on her mind Verse 1:I put that record on Girl you know what song And I let play again and again You're in every line Take me back in time Yeah, tonight I'm wondering What are you listening to... It's a wonderful thought- provoking song. Thanks

If you like singers who put everything into their vocal performance, this one is pretty famous : Joe Cocker at Woodstock(1969) singing "With A Little Help With My Friends", which is a cover of the Beatles song from the Sgt.Peppers album. (not the best quality video). John Belushi did an impression of him on SNL, and they had Cocker come on so they could sing together : kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZadhxrWodNPahsY.html There's only a short SNL clip on KZread : kzread.info/dash/bejne/k46nsduIj8--dJs.html

Chris was the lead singer for a group called the steel drivers before he went solo, awesome group! You should check out the song "Where Rainbows Never Die" it's amazing!!!
I love the way you produce your reaction without interrupting the song. You don't breakup the groove or feeling of the song. Love it. Have a great day Jamal! Love and peace to all people!
This song is truly amazing, it grabs a hold of your mind body and soul. You just have to listen from start to the finish.

My FAV CS song! I love the message so much! We want so much to believe that the one we’re thinking about ... is thinking about us too... playing some old song! As the Trisha Yearwood song says so perfectly... “ The Song Remember’s When”
God bless you Jamel for choosing to speak from you soul. Courage my man!
Great Reaction. What can you even say about a talent like this! To write these songs and perform them with such perfection alone ! It puts him way up top with the really special musicians! How many great songs does one man have in Him? Stay tuned!
Haven't we all been there? Just wonderin what that special one is listenin too?
My husband sent this to me on our 33rd anniversary-he said it is our new song . Due to being in the service and our employment since being discharged we have had to spend many days apart. Now I listen to this when we are apart and it’s my ringtone for my husband. Chris Stapleton is an amazing artist!
I Love your content, very genuine and passionate. Thank you. Much love from Germany.

Lord man, I been listening to your Chris Moragane Stapleton reaction songs for hours now....its 3 am I am going to have to stop and go to bed......but how do you stop when there is more of this?
Man you do all the songs I love...much respect.
Please give a listen to him singing “ When The Stars Come Out” live of course. So much soul and heart. God given talent. Sings just as good live as on a recording. No autotune and just plain blessed! He is a “sanger”.
Probably one of my favorites of his, I can never listen to it just once

One of my favourite songs ever. The lyrics 🎶💛🧡❤️🎶
He is unhinged, unchained, unbelievable, and so underappreciated! He should be on everyone's go-to love song list to apologize for when you don't know what you did wrong or cannot find a good enough reason for your stupidity. Give it to God in prayer then play your beloved and angry partner this song! Let them fix it.
You are by far my favorite reaction channel.
This is a Break-Up song .. Music is a very intimate part of our lives and our relationships .. especially with whom we fall in love with .
LA SUNNY OR MEMPHIS BLUE IS A TOTALLY UNREAL LINE NO DOUBT. CHRIS STAPLETON IS THE MASTER. PERIOD!!!!!!!!
A fantastic Story Teller ❤️
He wrote a song about the kind of song this is. I love this song.
Hes written 1000 songs on that guitar. Literally a publishing of 1000 plus
Hey Brother Chris brings anything he sings alive wish he would write some gospel although some of his work borders gospel because it breaks of truth good reaction
You want a song with emotion. Try his song “either way” Charlie Rose show (May 11, 2017) Aton of emotion

on the album this is followed by "I was Wrong", almost as if he is rethinking what he says in "either way". I'm not sure if that was intentional, but man is it brilliant.

Your exactly right. This song is low key. I know when I first heard it I was like it’s got a nice beat. But on the second listen it was much deeper. This guy is doing what we all do after a break up. We wonder what are they listening to!
Brother I love your spirit!
Love this song!!!!
This is my favorite song by Chris. My favorite version. Sounds better live than studio.
"What are you listening to.......something to get you thru".
If only I could wow !
First time I heard this and I’m like wow!
This was the song that made me a fan. I saw him play at a bar across the street from my house. Hewalked off early because no one was paying attention. I didn't understand how anybody could not get completely sucked into whatever this man sings. I have seen him once since he got big and am seeing him again this year.

Check out Taj Farrant doing Tennessee whiskey I promise you'll be blown away with that old soul in that young body
Thanks

I feel the song he's listening to is maybe "their song" and he lets it play... again and again. I love this song and this performance. 💕
More often then not when you listen to a singer songwriter doing their own material, you will feel what they are pushing out there. Chris is a master at this. Still waiting on "for a dancer" by Jackson Browne. It will go way deep man, way deep, if you can handle it.

Listen to his song, a cover of a John Fogerty song called Joy of My Life. His version is fantastic!

I know this is an old reaction, but I’ve watched several of these tonight, and nobody seems to get it right. He’s reminiscing about his ex while listening to “their song” and thinking about her. He’s wondering if she’s listening to the same song, or one of the many songs he talks about.
Please react to his tiny desk concert on NPR KZread channel

I love your reviews, Man, but why does everybody miss the point of this song? He's listening to THEIR SONG, over and over again. SHE'S in every line. CHECK THE WORDS! He's heartbroken and trying to figure out what went wrong. He's wondering if she's doing the same or if she's already moving on, past the pain.
