With country music changing so much, I miss music like this and the older generation. I love today's country too but I really miss a lot of the older great artists like Dwight Yoakam and others who came out during that time. Kenny Rodgers dying was a sad time. To meet a person who makes an impact on my life and places themselves in my heart can be confusing. If you knew my God, you would understand why I am unsure and uncomfortable, as to why that I am the way that I am. He always gives me my perspective when it's the right time. To live life at my worst, with an audience, would be the reason that I feel the way that I do. To trust my friend, to do the right thing for me, is a blessing beyond all measures.

Great song written by Troy Seals and Eddie Stetser. Though I unfortunately know nothing about those writers.
Dwight is one of the most amazing story-tellers in modern music, a genius who takes away my breath. And Chris Stapleton brings country music to its KNEES, makes it RAW EMOTION. He must pair with every musician alive, he makes every melody beautiful.
Good Lord!!! I've been living under a rock. How am I just now seeing and hearing this?
Chris, Morgane, AND Dwight Yoakum?! YESSSS
I'm 13 and this song helps me remember that God always has my back no matter the situation. I just lost my mom 2 months and it's hard losing the woman who gave me life especially at such a young age. I could make it without God on my side and I just want to thank him and show him how much I appreciate him....

Amazing performance! Dwight Yoakam is timeless. I love the way Chris and his wife look at each other.

Chris? The line in your song when rhetorically, you wonder if we'll keep listening to your music after you're gone? I READ THIS SOMETIME AGO... PEOPLE WON'T REMEMBER WHAT YOU SAID, PEOPLE WON'T REMEMBER WHAT YOU DID.. BUT PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HOW YOU MADE THEM FEEL.. Yeah Chris we always will..God Bless you all MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR..

But I feel totally connected to you all in USA , by Humanity and Music... Yiur Country music is Soul Stirring... So many Greats .. My favourite favourite is Dwight Yoakam...
To me, this is the greatest rendition of this classic song.

Damn, I had forgotten how amazing Dwight Yoakam really is. We don't hear much about him anymore which is a shame. Chris Stapleton is amazing, too. With country music changing so much, I miss music like this and the older generation. I love today's country too but I really miss a lot of the older great artists like Dwight Yoakam and others who came out during that time. Kenny Rodgers dying was a sad time. We've lost so many great artists. I hope people like Chris Stapleton can keep putting out and selling what country music once was.

I thank God for giving Chris Stapleton a voice that gives me peace and comfort in a time of need! He must think alot of you to give you such a gift!
Country at its best! I feel blessed to be honored with listening to this. Dwight, Chris, and Morgane! It don't get any better. Of course unless Willie was with them. Awesome tribute to one of the old time country legends. You guys are legends in your own right. To be honest, never cared for Yoakam when he first started in country music. But, as the years passed he got better and better. He sang this beautifully.
Dwight’s parents were from Betsy Layne, KY which is about 30 miles from where Chris grew up. Lots of talent in these old hills.
My grandpa’s favorite song and he loved the Willie and Ray version. He never got to hear Dwight Yoakum and Chris Stapleton sing it but I have to believe he’d like it just as well. Two of the greatest voices in country music history.
I love these two men, I look forward to seeing them in Heaven When Our time comes. I'll be in the. Front. Row.
Chris Stapleton is this generations ray Charles and Dwight sang Willie Nelson’s part just perfect. I’ve always loved this song
Oh my gosh. Dwight Yoakam and Chris Stapleton. What a combination!
Absolutely Beautiful!! Three greats Dwight,Chris and Morgan!!!!❤
Dwight is the best. He took over I could listen to him all day
I have to say the restraint by Stapleton is tremendous. He had respect for Yoakam and is commands much respect because of it
Dwight Yoakam is one of a kind with a voice I could listen all night his songs Dwight can kick Ass to country I just love him and his music he can bring down the house with that voice of his and he puts on a great show ❤❤❤❤🎸 he knows his country ❤❤
My grandpa played this on his 12 string for us when we were kids. He died last year at 85. I'll never hear it and not think about him
so I've found this again. i wish i could like it again !
DWIGHT, YESSS, Chris, YESSS. Absolutely two AMAZING artist. Let’s please recognize Morgan’s outstanding harmony and presence on stage. The band was awesome!!! This performance takes us back to some very real country music with fond memories of the good ole days. ❤️❤️❤️. Dwight still has MANY songs on my playlist!!!
Dwight. Old but still got the voice and them dang tight jeans❤️
It takes a set of stones to take on a song by Ray and Willie. Chris and Dwight nailed this!

Dwight is country music. Trust nothing from anyone else
The smiles on the audience's/peer's faces says it all. Also, Morgane's voice is a reflection of her soul and love. It's supportive, complimenting and still encourages Chris to be the king of the stage. Love it.
Judging by the appreciation of the crowd, all that were there knew they had just witnessed a performance for the ages. The musicians were all superb on their instruments, and the trumpets took this to the highest level. The singers were excellent for sure. I've probably watched this 50 times, and counting.
Dwight brings that East Ky Stanley Brothers high twang to everything. And it works for every style of music. Real transcends
