I once met Chris Eubank around 1998 in Brighton (where he lives) as the sun was going down and we were heading home. I was a huge fan of his and asked for a photo and was worried I was bothering his private time as he was enjoying a coffee watching the tide come in. He was a true gent, was so generous with his time and so polite and patient. I felt bad as my request opened the floodgates and others all stepped up wanting photos and autographs (and this was before camera phones so photos were a slow and clunky drag) but he treated them all with respect and politeness. A true gent and a real star in his day.

My favorite boxer of all time.

It's rare to see someone who so embodies what an English gentleman should be. Refined, cultured, well spoken. But never too full of himself and can throw throw good punch. He's a national treasure. All men should aspire to be like Mr Eubank.

As well as his battles here, he was often accused of ducking fights abroad. And he has admitted to it before. That just shows his intelligence though, I think. He knew his level and he didn't want to get smashed to pieces for money, he wanted to keep his faculties and he has. I have a lot of respect for the man.

This man was an utter warlord in his day. What a fighter he was..

Eubank seems like such an absolute gent to be around, very proper with how he carries himself but an absolute treat to listen to. He’s also a really REALLY funny guy, was in absolute tears listening to the ‘This tango is BIG’ bit hahahaha.

I love Chris Eubank, he is the most genuine, sensitive soul. He gets a lot of hassle for being pretentious, look into his heart, all you need to know is his kindness.

He’s quite a strange man but I can’t stop watching him 😂

Much misunderstood. A ferocious fighter with massive heart and a granite chin. Along with arch rival Nigel Benn, this man was one of the most exciting boxers ever to step in a ring. A truly compassionate man; his epic duels with Michael Watson and the ultimate tragic ending revealed his devastation and remorse for what happened. A gentleman.

There will never be a true gentleman like him in this world again he really is one of a kind

I met Chris when I was 8 nearly 30 years ago in Brighton Churchill Square. He was so polite and he has the strongest handshake I've ever felt. I was fascinated by him then and am fascinated by him still! Their truly is only one Chris Livingstone Eubank
