It really breaks my heart that in another 20 years, some younger artist won't be able to bring a 70-year-old Chris Cornell on stage and say "It's good to have him back." RIP, Chris.

@@BaconTomatoCheese It's very sad. I'm not an emotional guy, but Cornell's music (Soundgarden) was my youth. More so than Nirvana, Pearl Jam, STP, it was Cornell's music that really spoke to me. Very sad he's not here anymore.

I was actually a fan of Cat Stevens long before I fell in love with Chris Cornell's music. Now that I'm a hardcore Cornell fan, I just found out about this performance.

I can't believe I was here, it was more special than I realized at the time. Thank you dad for taking me to see Cat Stevens, I will never forget this concert.

I'm a boomer, a Cat Stevens fan from the beginning of his career but not familiar with Chris Cornell. I was struck by his compelling performance here -- he was in sync with Cat and his contributing vocals were perfect. Now that I've seen some of his work I am all the more distressed about his premature death. If it matters, I'll be downloading his tunes in the hope of extending his musical lifespan a tiny bit.

I absolutely agree. Chris had the pipes to blow the freaking doors off of this song! Instead he showed true respect for another great artist and their work. He held back and kept the song pure to it's roots. True humility in such a powerhouse... a rare and beautiful thing.

It's grounding and present to realize the internal struggle Chris had. This song with Jusuf exemplifies him in such a way that it brings tears to the eyes.

I only clicked on this after remembering when Cat Stevens went off and became one with Islam, swearing off all of his past, including his musical talent and career...adamantly protesting in like 2004, that he would never return/ Fully donning the garb of said, recluse life as well. Then, in 2006...he came back...playing hard as though he’d been locked away without choice... and has been making music like a fiend ever since... Thank God. When the lord blesses one with such an amazing talent...He does not expect them to hide nor keep it to themself... one has an obligation To more than just themselves, to share and nurture it. I just discovered this gorgeous collaboration today. This beautiful song takes me back to 'Moon Shadow' premiered on a morning show when I was just a child. How lucky we are to be able to view and listen to the Great artists.

Chris' voice is like red velvet cake, Cat is just amazing, soothing, calming, priceless.

I was so happy when I heard Yusuf/Cat was playing his old music again. It's brought so much joy to so many people over the years, and we could use as much of that as we can get these days....

wow, I can't believe I only just discovered this and I'm already onto my 3rd view. Have adored both these men for decades. This is perfection... I can't stop the tears.

This song auto played on feed (I was listening to "Let It Rain - Eric Clapton) I'm now happy and crying at the same time to hear Chris again... Oh that voice, he was so talented that I found it hard to know when Cat's voice ended and Chris's began.... Seemless! 💔😍💕

Within a year, this beautiful man was gone. We miss you, Chris.

I love this version of this timeless classic sung by two incomparable legends . I get emotional when I hear Chris Cornell say "Isn't great to have him back" because of course of his s very sad loss. Obviously I never met Mr Cornell but the beauty and magic he created through his craft kept me going through some tough times. I will always shed a tear when I hear him say "Isn't it great to have him back. R I.P. C.Cornell one of the best who EVER did it. 2:27

I was expecting something better myself. Cat was great. Chris wasn't bad but didn't really ad much to the performance other than being there and looking cool.

Cat Stevens is a freakin' sociopath. He advocated for the murder of Salman Rushie, a novelist. He needs to be ignored and routinely reviled.

Unbelievable. I've seen every word CC had ever spoken, never really recovered. Tonight I needed Cat Stevens and this popped up, I genuinely thought it was fake. I don't even know what emotion I'm feeling. 💛

I can't even express the loss I feel over Chris Cornell..... can't wait to oneday sit between Layne and Chris..... just to say "Thank You"..... you both unknowingly saved so many of us lost souls......God Loves Grunge!!!

The blending of these 2 voices was amazing! I'll always wish for more.

Chris Cornell is is so modest & very talented. It makes me happy & sad when watching past video of of artists passed away before there time.

Holy crap! Was just listening to the Higher Truth album for the first time and thinking how Chris' voice and the style of tg ed songs reminded me of cat Stevens.....and then I come across this! No words can describe.

When Chris passed, my boomer brother texted the headline to me and said "Chris who?" This is who! Respect.

When Chris sings his first verse I literally get chills. That man could sing anything and sound perfectly different in each song. GD wish there were more covers to come from him.
