Everything Chris touched turned to gold. He was such a phenomenal talent. He could play, and sing, "Mary had a little lamb" and just floor the audience. When he performed, he gave it all of his emotion and made you feel it down to your soul. Rest in peace now, Chris. There is no one that can take your place. NOBODY sings like you anymore... and no one can even come close. Nothing Compares 2 U, in the realm of music. He made every song, that he covered, his own. He poured everything he had into every song he performed. He was an amazing artist and musician. There was a ragged hole ripped out of the Universe when this world lost Chris Cornell. He is very sorely missed.

I did not know who Chris Cornell was when he was alive. I only found out about him after his death in 2017. I heard Soundgarden often on the radio growing up. didn't realize who the lead singer of the band was at the time. Now I would say he's one of my favorite singers. every song he sang was very powerful. his voice was brilliant. if you listen to his songs, you can tell he struggled with depression. the sad thing about depression is how easy it is to hide from people. it's not always being sad. and it's not always obvious on the outside. His music makes me feel better. the sad songs are the ones I relate to the most

"One Lyrics": Can't remember anything Is this true or just a dream Down inside I feel to scream This terrible silence stoping me Now that the war is through with me I'm waking up, but I can't see That there ain't much left of me Nothing is real, sai'd nothing is real but the pain now. Back in the womb it's much too real In pumps life that I must feel But you can't look forward to reveal now Look to the time when I could live Fed through the tube that's stuck in me Just like a wartime novelty Tied to machines that make me be Cut this life off Cut this life off from me Landmine has taken my sight Took away my speech Took away my hearing Left me with life in hell Darkness surrounds me All I can hear and all I see I can't live, I cannot die Trapped in myself Trapped in myself Landmine has taken, taken my sight Taken my hearing, taken my eyes Landmine has left me within life in hell my body, my home is hell But I cannot die. Half the world is gone, just one Just one Hold my breath as I'm wishing for death Just one, please God wake me God Help Me God Take Me Hold my breath as I wish for death Please, please God Please God take me. Please God take me.

Thank you for your service. I’m not a war vet, so🤷🏻‍♀️the scars U carry, but like millions of ppl, I understand oh so well the suffering of the body & how that suffering can affect the mind. Music has always been at the forefront of my life, now the 1°healing part…playing for hrs till the pain takes over the meditative st8. Now listening 2🎶 /watching, or 🎥, it’s difficult. As an adult who’s been close 2 death several times knowing that my parents/family suffer more than I, suicide is Never an option. Even if I didn’t, 🤷🏻‍♀️ if I could, b/c of possible spiritual/energy/multiverse implicationsR. But I keep going along even when 🛌ridden & pain constant, I’m still grateful for so much. Listening to Chris sing this, it has it’s comedic/musical/beautiful genius that reminds me of a Victor Borge of soulful rock. @the same time knowing the roots of the music(fan of 3;), then his fate, I wish the🌎 could’ve carried him & all that do consider when mental suffering is greater than what’s believed 2B bearable. That scares me, U don’t have 2B a R‘nR⭐️, & a lot of ppl R losing ppl now, but the loss of the beauty in ppl by the absence of them…it sure leaves a much colder🌎we really have 2carry each other now😇❤️‍🩹❣️

A lot of the crowd laughs when he starts like he's going to be doing some novelty joke. But no, he was such a sincere guy that a little googling mistake didn't have to be fodder for laughs, it could be simple serendipity. What an amazing approach to life.

It's sad Chris Cornell was depressed. I feel bad that such an amazing, unique person couldn't help himself, but I won't fault him for his choices. he was clearly tired, sad, just wanted some peace. his voice is such a comfort to me. I struggle with depression and I know what it feels like to want to give up. I try to carry on, find some happiness, but it's difficult. Chris Cornell's amazing voice and wonderful music is so calming to me. no matter how sad I am feeling, I can turn to music like this and it gets me through the day. sorry you lost your battle, Chris. your music meant a lot and still means a lot to people

He was lost to a severe TBI, and all the side effects due to it, like depression. KZread two of their songs: Shine Like it Does and The Stairs. Listen to both frequently for awhile. The only thing is I wish that there was a recording without the crowd noise. Some songs are party songs to get all excited about... this was not one of them. Masterfully done, an emotional take on two emotional epic songs and somehow made it his own. "One" is arguably U2's best song, and One is also a song many would say was Metallica's best song... And Chris comes in and says "hey, mind if I do this at the same time and knock it out of the park?" His voice just melts it together like some savory musical s'more. And he does this with other classics like GnR's "Patience" and Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U". I wish he'd could come back, because we were not done with him yet.

God ill never stop loving him. Never...i love him for this right here, THIS performance, is exactly why a little piece of my heart will always belong to him. It started out a tiny crack. a tiny crack that got worse and worse until it eventually cracked all the way through, broke apart, fell away and shattered against the floor. which is exactly where it stayed. just laying there broken, shattered, sad, & defeated....even while the rest of me has had to keep going, stay alive, pretend to be uneffected by the death of some beautiful rockstar who i never even met. getting up, showering, going to work, ect, etc...despite the rest of me seeming fine, appearing to carry on with my life unfazed, that little broken piece went right along with him, it died when he did. its his forever now. gone from me ever since the day i heard he was gone. That broken piece forever belongs to him, and this performance is the perfect explanation of all the reasons why. This man could literally open his beautiful mouth and start singing the turn by turn directions to my cousins house i scribbled onto a scrap of paper yesterday, and his incredible powerful, sensual, golden voice would magically turn it into something profound and beautiful that could bring a tear to your eye and send shivers throughout your whole body all at the same time. its because of THAT, the magical gift that he had. thats why ill forever love Chris Cornell. 💔 RIP
