The Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy, which was founded in 1808, originally under the title of “The Missionaries of France.” The community was founded for the purpose of re-evangelizing the people of France after the Catholic Faith had been subjected to years of attacks and persecution during the French Revolution. It is now exclusively an American community. The Generalate of the Congregation is located in Auburn, Kentucky. The primary apostolate of the Fathers of Mercy is to conduct parish missions and retreats throughout the United States and other countries when called upon. The Congregation also staffs rural parishes in the Archdiocese of Louisville, Kentucky.

This is the program the Church the was supposed to teach the people through the lens of Jesus Christ: CCC 1697: Catechesis has to reveal in all clarity the joy and the demands of the way of Christ. Catechesis for the "newness of life" in him should be: - a catechesis of the Holy Spirit, the interior Master of life according to Christ, a gentle guest and friend who inspires, guides, corrects, and strengthens this life; - a catechesis of grace, for it is by grace that we are saved and again it is by grace that our works can bear fruit for eternal life; - a catechesis of the beatitudes, for the way of Christ is summed up in the beatitudes, the only path that leads to the eternal beatitude for which the human heart longs; - a catechesis of sin and forgiveness, for unless man acknowledges that he is a sinner he cannot know the truth about himself, which is a condition for acting justly; and without the offer of forgiveness he would not be able to bear this truth; - a catechesis of the human virtues which causes one to grasp the beauty and attraction of right dispositions towards goodness; - a catechesis of the Christian virtues of faith, hope, and charity, generously inspired by the example of the saints; - a catechesis of the twofold commandment of charity set forth in the Decalogue; - an ecclesial catechesis, for it is through the manifold exchanges of "spiritual goods" in the "communion of saints" that Christian life can grow, develop, and be communicated.

Amen and thank you. You are absolutely correct that the fault line that started the current mass apostasy in the western Church was the casting of doubt about the absolute Truth of the Bible and the teachings of the Catholic Church through the Catechism and the Magisterium. However, what I see Father is a faithful remnant that includes priests like yourself and faithful lay Catholics from which will sprout a renewed and re-invigorated Church. Through the workings of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit may this renewed Church come soon!🙏

I was a Catholic since birth and it was only a few years ago that I realized that I was just a Sunday Catholic. The Catholic faith is more than the Sunday mass. It is very hard to really live the Catholic faith, but I can say it is all worth it. There is no gray area, you are either with me or against me. I agree with father, most of the priest nowadays are giving the "feel good" homilies, they are very cautious and playing safe or being neutral. I think this is the reason why there are moral crisis in the church and the society today. The church did not follow or heed the message of the Virgin Mary in Fatima and Garabandal. The church leaders are slow to act and lacking zeal to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Never heard a priest teaching about the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist or the Fatima message. It is all about being playing safe with the people.

Maybe that priest meant that Jesus cried because Lazarus and others didn't fully understand Who Jesus is, and He was frustrated. Didn't He once say to someone, "What do you mean, 'If'"? Or something like that? Someone made a request and said if He could do something and it seemed to kind of annoy Him maybe because it implied that maybe He couldn't? I don't know but i vaguely remember reading that in the Bible. Plus, not everything He did was written down, so what we do have is our glimpse into our Lord's Personality. He did let Moses know He's a jealous God, and although He is slow to anger it is probably best not to doubt His abilities.

Only this is life eternal: Jesus said “not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father” (John 6:46). Jesus did all he did for us to be united with God, yet people stop at Jesus and have completely forgotten about God. Instead, the whole world says “Jesus is God,” no matter what God says through Jesus. Jesus himself prayed to the Father and said, “and this is life eternal, that they might know YOU, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent” (John 17:3). This comes from Jesus himself; anyone who goes against his words will not be with God (Revelation 22:18-19).

The age old question of whether Jesus would be conservative or liberal today will go on; though I think it's obvious which he'd be. However, on the issue of actions over words, Jesus would be conservative. Liberals love virtue signaling. Virtue signaling is rampant, yet it's ironic because what is being signaled is almost never virtuous. Albeit, words also matter. One can lead others into scandal with words by praising sinful ways. Such as saying abortion is okay, or that hookup culture is great and one should be proud of it. Action is more important, but words matter too.
