I feel like artists have been way more successful NOT being as raunchy and oversexual straight out of the gate. Rihanna had bops and gradually was a " good girl turned bad " ... Beyonce's first solo debut away from the group was tasteful and she gradually put out sexier song lyrics and performances. Sza just started expressing her sexy side, but not at first... we were all introduced to their vocals and music.... Im sorry to say, Chloe has been oversexualized straight out of the gate and its hard for alot of people to grasp her 'sexiness' because shes never been seen as sexy, sexual or a sex symbol. She gets so much backlash that her music is overlooked. Some people think her label is pushing this image on her and that she was trying too hard. Ngl, It was awkward for me and alot of people I assume bc watching her on ig live, her personality is the opposite. Shy, awkward in a weird silly way and censors herself as if shes afraid to curse, and thats kinda why I also believe she desires to be a sex symbol. Her first single, Have mercy, they attempted to disguise as "women empowerment," but it was just too much too fast. It was Chloe empowerment, bc of the response she got from the buss it challenge.

Yeah I totally see your point! So many people feel this way and I think parkwood might be picking up on that, hopefully it’s not too late to rebrand her

i just hope they lock her out of the studio and write a HIT that’ll actually be promoted 😭 she has too much potential to be wasted in this industry. get her some good writers. i noticed she mentioned some songs originally having bridges but them being edited out. it’s sad

I couldn’t see any reason why people would hate on Halle or even Chloe for that matter If she plays her cards right and releases music that works for her she won’t have haters. Secondly not everyone that dislikes Chloe music is a hater. Me personally I do feel like this era for her has been all over the place but I think when the album comes she’s gonna prove a lot of people wrong

You do know Chloe and Halle had literally just went mainstream in their group. It shouldn’t have been any reason why Chloe’ could couldn’t have pivoted off that success of the group. @@celestialskii she’s signed to Parkwood, which is a division of Columbia (label). Its literally listed in the credits on her song. If people are going to comment on Chloe’s career, they should at least know that simple fact. So she and Halle are artists of Parkwood and also managed by Parkwood

@TClark777 Parkwoood is her management. Her actual label is Columbia. Parkwood is a entertainment company and a record label. It literally says it on website. She is signed to Columbia though.

I mean I think CxH fans are only supporting Chloe cuz the girls haven’t been able to break out into mainstream for a while and once they did start going mainstream after Chloe dropped the buss it challenge everyone got excited cuz we thought the girl were going to start getting recognized by bigger stars and performing at major award shows. This did happen but then Chloe immediately released her solo music before giving new fans time to introduce themselves to the group. And then she started to sexify her image and a lot of og CxH fans got mad and didn’t want to support her anymore. So I’m not sure if her fan base consist of CxH fans or new people who came after Have Mercy.

Honestly, I agree most of the points in this video, but I still consider Treat Me to be a flop as well. My thing with Chloe is that it wasn't the good time for her to go solo, even if fans were clamouring for her to go solo. Chloe x Halle were already starting to build their fanbase with Ungodly Hour. They went from selling 2k with the The Kids Are Alright to 28k with Ungodly Hour, it's not the best but it started to show that the fanbase starting to grow. So her stans come with this bullshit, nobody was support them until Chloe started to show her body is hilarious. Chloe x Halle were on a slow burner rise and was on the verge of crossover as a duo with Ungodly Hour. The problem is that those same LOUD minority Chlöe stans didn't give more chances and time to the duo that THEY felt the need Chlöe need to become solo in order for her to sell well, which is wild. Chloe x Halle was becoming an established duo and had Chloe just stayed behind the scenes then do songwriting and production like Missy while working on CxH3, and that became a success, They would've finally got their huge fanbase that they wanted. Now Chloe gone solo and she's starting over again from square one, and she's doing an great job of pushing away and alienating her core fanbase that really love her stuff with Halle in the CxH days. None of the songs she put out tbh have that CxH magic. Even when Bey went solo, she still had DC flavor to Dangerously in Love. None of these songs have any influence of CxH imo, it all feels like she's just trying new sounds atp to appeal the masses only and not her main fanbase.

Chloe and Halle are great actors and they are great singers but I really haven’t paid attention to their music like that since their first song since getting signed which was “Drop” I loved that song! 👌🏽

I’ve tried really hard to get into her new music and image but I just don’t enjoy it. To me seems inauthentic and she’s riding the coattails of Beyoncé. Which is wild that she can have a huge industry push from one of the biggest artist of all time but still miss the mark. She has a beautiful voice but her delivery and song choices aren’t complimenting her talent. I say she goes for a more slow R&B sound with an distinct and unique era with visuals along with it. Also, I would love to hear some lyrics about her being a 20 something yr old trying to discover herself emotionally rather than the whole raunchy act. Don’t get me wrong I love a good song to dance to in the club for fun but it’s being overplayed with the majority of female artist these days

I agree. and I believe if they wanted to push a sex symbol image, Halle has more of a chance bc of her no nonsense personality, her sensual sweetness, beauty, and w the direction shes going in. That 'good girl gone bad' strategy always seems to work. Rihanna and Miley Cyrus are examples. Halle is representing the good sweet disney girl like Miley did and she also in a relationship w another artist like Rihanna was with Chris. Plus ppl want her to 'break out of her shell'' more esp when performing beside her sister. Ppl would root for her, I could honestly see Halle being a bad girl after the Disney era.

Lol Rihanna waited after her 3rd and Bey didn’t actually become sexually explicit until after she had blue and was well into her 30’s and its just the smarter move to get all of that good girl money before you go bad lol

She is riding the waves but not in the best way. Days before isn’t going to work. I think when break my soul was getting traction up the charts Chloe should have then released not competed. Also they have got to book her on more shows Chloe and Halle gave us amazing performances of Do it. Now we need amazing performances of Chloe’s songs on these award shows and talk shows. I need more effort from her. Spring break is coming up she could perform in Miami. Festival season is coming I hope she takes some days off the tour and does a few festivals with the album. She should be booked for Coachella but she isn’t. Going on tour with Beyoncé isn’t going to do much. She’s already done it. I think she needs to be out on her own. But I think they want the main act to be a Chloe and Hallie not just Chloe the singer and Hallie the singer/actress. I think they are trying to keep them as a pair because they do better that way. I love the duo much more than the solo and I think alot of people would agree

I like them both but it’s something about the duet that makes magic happen!! I like Chloe as a soloist also. She will find her own way and sound. I have confidence in her. I don’t think Beyoncé has her hands in it as much as everyone thinks.
