Chloe Bailey| Parkwood’s Mistakes

Ойын-сауық

Chloe’s For the Night has dropped. So I wanted to do another career analysis on her to highlight parkwood’s mistakes with her career. I also have some criticisms about how Chloe’s part in her career. What I do like is her single For the Night, it's a bop and doesn't need a feature. But will the song be enough to release Chloe's debut album, sound off below.
Time stamps
0:47 opening sequence
1:30 parkwood mistake
*2:40 how parkwood made themselves look bad
4:20 colorism b/w chloe & Normani
5:40 parkwood mistake 2
7:00 colorism b/w ari & chloe
8:40 her musical obstacles

Honestly, I think Parkwood is doing an amazing job with managing Chloe. The real reason Chloe hasnt taken off is because nobody is making smash hits anymore. The stuff she’s releasing are better suited as a track on an album rather than a lead single. And her label Columbia isn’t gonna release her album until she gets a hit record.

I think they have a lot of similarities but just as many differences. I think Chloe and her group is more more critically acclaimed (grammy nominated) and Normani has more billboard hits(Worth it-wildside). But I do think they BOTH will get both things in the coming years which will take them to the top. Great discussion 💗

Everyone has noticed the questionable similarities, the timing of releases and announcements, the similar visual themes, the similar collabs. Also the fact Normani hasn’t released can also been seen as Parkwood tactic, Normani is under Roc Nation and Beyoncé could make that pull. It works in Chloe’s favour to have a clear lane to release and not have an artist with a bigger following to be compared with and Normani would obviously increase in popularity if she released more. Additionally the fact Chloe has so far collabs with RCA artists, the label Normani is on. The fact she’s working with Anitta, the management Normani is on. In isolation these don’t look like an issue, but collectively you start to think hmm something in the water doesn’t seem quite right here

The Normani part in the beginning is veryyyy reaching. Why would Chloe turn down a performance for MTV because Normani wasn’t invited? That just makes no sense and I’m sure Chloe wasn’t involved in the booking or even knew who all were or weren’t invited when she accepted. No new artist is going to turn down a platform like MTV VMAs to perform.

@@Popfilia Agreed. Her grace period for most people has been cut off. The excuse of finding her way has been dragged out. She seems to be the only artist of this new generation who has had to experiment with so much from social media to her performances and songs. People don’t find her genuine because of that. HER, Summer walker, Sza, Ella mai, Ari lennox and others who not too long ago came into the industry with they’re own uniqueness from personality down to the music didn’t have to conform the way she did. Hell even her own sister Halle who is also a Beyonce protege has her own uniqueness. Things with Chloe seem like she trying to follow a Beyonce hand book while trying to fit in with the new generation. I think she trying to become what some people want her to be instead of being her authentic self which translates more than she expected it to.

I love both Chloe and Halle but I can’t help but notice that Halle is the one being pushed. Halle is the one Beyoncé is going to continue to push because she’s genuine and sticks to the plan. Chloe does her own side ventures that seem forced. She is talented and can sing very well. However, Chloe is not marketable she is not very different there is something about Halle that is different. But I wish her the best I think she just needs to take a more natural direction with her career. She should do things that fit her personality like this is not a natural upbringing and that’s why nothing is sticking.
