Chiropractic Exercise vs. Physical Therapy | A MoveNow Chiropractor EXPLAINS

In today’s video, Dr. Todd addresses the key differences between Physical Therapy vs Chiropractic Exercise, in regards to the types of rehab that you are likely to receive in either clinical environment. Many Chiropractors do not offer rehab (Dr. Todd didn’t for his first 8 years in practice), but when they do, are there any advantages of a Chiropractor doing this in their clinic?
This multispecialty clinic approach is what so many patients say that they are looking for, so they don't have to have 2 or 3 cooks in the kitchen in regards to managing their health and wellness. Many Chiropractors seek out these corrective exercise approaches in an effort to help their patients get better faster, experience less pain and comprehensively address their musculoskeletal conditions to improve overall health.
You may have seen some Jeff Cavaliere videos, Athlene X, where as a Physical Therapist, he goes over exercises for fitness and rehab. He does a great job, but are their other components that need to be addressed? Skeletal? Structural? Posture? Joint Integrity? In many situations, in order to see the whole picture, the answer is yes, Yes, and YES!

Very insightful. I love how you break it down piece by piece so it is easy to understand and very educational for those who don't know.

Awesome video! I have definitely have had patients ask me "What's the difference of just coming in for the adjustments and continue seeing my PT elsewhere versus doing functional movement?" Now I can educate them further and direct them to this video!

I love the joint, muscle, brain analogy to explain why a certain part of your body is locked up!

Completely agree - I was very fortunate to find one PT here in Boise that strongly believes in what you're saying here - you can't just treat the complaint, you must assess the whole and find the cause. Fix the problem, don't cover the symptoms. Again, I think it boils down to the whole "I just want to do what I'm told and not any more" problem with a lot of people (both medical and patients). I think for the medical side it stems from the fear of being sued. But that's like... my opinion, man. ;)
