Hi Winston. You and Matt need to read "Ways that are dark: The Truth About China" by Ralph Townsend. He was a former US Consul who lived in China in the 1930s. He echoes a lot of what you and Matt have been saying since the 1930's even under the KMT. It definitely explains a lot of China's actions and how they haven't changed all that much since then.

I am from Taiwan. When we had a massive earthquake in 1999, Turkey was one of the first few countries that sent rescue team to Taiwan and we are forever grateful! Upon the news of earthquake in Turkey, Taiwan immediately sent the rescue team to Turkey to help even before the Chinese...little did we know, China's media claims that they are the first to arrive since China claims Taiwan is part of China. How disgusting 🤮

I am Turkish and when I saw Chinese flags on Turkish local tvs, I got shocked; but all other rescue workers were so busy with rescuing people while these bastards taking the credits and spreading propaganda. Good thing is that we saw and read on the media about all of the miracles from all other countries rescue teams but China. I wish i could've send more help and be more useful to people in tragedy. It was heartbreaking I hope better days will come for your nation. Like he said at the end of the day at least some rescue workers came and put their hand in rescuing some lives, sadly in our neighbor india they also making it into a huge propaganda that they helped a friend of Pakistan. The added period helps to denote that much thought thought is going into the next line and that it helps to make the reader aware that u feel the parts after it hold mire meaning to the commenter than jovial usual conversation.

My dad was sent to China for work a decade back or so. He had polio when he was young and relied on his motorized scooter to get around. On his way out of the country his wheelchair batteries were confiscated leaving him in a bind as far as getting around. We figured they wanted to reverse engineer the tech or something like that. It was absurd because he did nothing but travel internationally in those days and had never had an issue like that at any other PoE.

In view of Turkey's serial acts of ingratitude towards China, Turks in China have the same reputation as dogs.😂 Apart from government rescue, I have learned from the Chinese Internet that many people volunteer to donate money. At least dozens of records I have seen are donated to the Syrian Embassy in China, not to Turkey spontaneously.

I'm not a rescue expert. But I don't think putting in a flag will delay the rescue. And the rescue scene must be very chaotic. The Chinese can't speak Turkish, and the English is also poor. The flag can let the Chinese know where their colleagues are, so they won't get separated. So I think it's still meaningful

I'm a Cultural Anthropologist and this [and other videos you've done on the matter] is a great insight to the business practices of the Chinese government. Time and time again there's this bizarre behavior.

She mentioned that she's in Berlin though, and failed to note that women in Iran and Afghanistan are forced to wear coverings like hijabs or burkas. Everything else was scientific, chill out lol.

I only discovered this you tube channel a couple of days ago, but right away it became my favorite channel. Mr. Serpentza has fearlessly traveled the world, lived through amazing and frightening situations and has intelligent insight into everything. Thank you, Mr. Serpentza.

As a Chinese (not born in China FYI), I can tell you that face (面子) and money (钱) is all that matters to a Chinese person, no matter how many generations have passed. I've always tried and convince others to ditch these values, but of course no one listens to me anyway.

What the people really desire, is a sense of security and being able to take pride in themselves. When those objectives cannot be achieved due to the government robbing its people and humiliating them to make it easy to continue robbing them, then the people have no choice but to turn to what little they could gather instead. When the laws, regulations and policies of a country can change at any given moment (and then apply to your past actions retrospectively), there is no such thing as long term planning so people horde money as a form of insurance against the unknown. And when the government take away people’s dignity and force them to live in a constant state of humiliation and oppression, people become overly sensitive and get triggered easily, so they put up false pretences in order to shield themselves from the miserable reality. From old proverbs and personal observations, I do believe that what we see on the outside is nothing more than the symptoms of the underlying problems deep down. The people are the way they are today because of the environment in which they are forced to exist (note that I say exist, not live), and in a country where the vast majority of the population barely escapes starvation, the elite are literally living off the people’s own flesh and blood (and maybe some “spare” pieces of vital organs, too). We do not need to harm the people any further by insulting them for doing what they have to do in order to survive, the focus needs to be on the system and those who rule over everyone.

We need to protect this man at all costs.

A few years ago a dam broke in a neighboring country of china. They sent a entire airplane full of rescue workers in bright uniforms. All they had with them where their cameras smartphones to take pictures. They ask the poor local rescue organisation for boots and Livevests but not to help only to take photos.

Winston, I'm not sure if you had the chance to witness this during your time in China, but while traveling with my wife and mother-in-law on a sleeper train from Beijing to Zhengzhou, I observed a situation at the terminal. There was a line for luggage scanning, but I noticed many individuals bypassing the scan without being checked. Curious about this, I asked my wife why these individuals were not required to scan their luggage, and she informed me that the scanners are FAKE!

Reminds me of the fake bomb scanners in Europe. A company scammed states by selling empty shells for millions. Everybody was to ashamed to acknowledge it so they just kept using the devices that did nothing. Those devices were sold under a few names but the most common ones were ADE-651 and GT200.

@@twitter.comelomhycy Not just that but we have Canadian Security Officer uniforms made in China and one of the companies has the Federal Government Security Contract and this is for some highly secure areas. I could imagine the damage caused by lets say one of the Chinese Police Officers getting hold of a Uniform and using it and a lot of times, as long is you are in uniform, no one asks to see your ID and this is only to save a few $$$

Hey, as a Turkish person I've been watching your videos for years now and have been disgusted by the actions of the CCP. Glad you're doing these videos pointing out all these 'Chinese tricks'. They're not just restricted to mainland China, but I guess this is where you see the most uniquely Chinese characteristics magnified in the most grotesque way. Speaking of Japan and China, stupid me just looked at the Chinese flag and figured out why it’s designed the way it is. It’s made like how when your a kid, you draw the sun on the side corner of your piece of paper. The stars are the days of sunshine and because the sun rises in the one country and sets in the other, I can’t unsee this sun now. Every time I see Chinas flag I think of that now. But I honestly don’t know the China history of their flag: so it’s doubtful that was right

Not only is there a pole, but that ramp is easily at 25°+. Anything close to 20° is virtually impossible to climb by the person in the wheelchair alone. That’s why ramps on buses aren’t a thing. There isn’t the room for a 15° ramp, so they use lifts and such.

Ramps on a bus can be a thing,we have them in britain,the bus lowers its suspension on the wheel near the floor so that the ramp isnt too steep

Yea the buses here the ramps fold out in the front it’s a two piece fold from under the main door way. It’s not at the back of the bus, only in the front. It takes like about two minutes for the driver to set the bus up in this parked position, have the lights on, hit the button where the ramp opens up and out, then the person loads, the driver needs to get up after they come in or before to take the two seats up in the front if people are sitting they need to move, and the top and bottom of these seats fold up against the wall and hooked in. That’s where the seatbelt for the handicap area in for wheelchairs or automatic chair carts. Then the bus driver hits another button and the ramp folds in on itself revealing the normal part people step in to enter the bus at the front. The entire bus has to shift lower to the ground which tends to happen when they stop to let someone off anyway when the doors open. In regards to living in other cities while someone’s permanently handicap or disabled, does their standard of living amount stay high to handle being allowed to live in Hong Kong since they have the best handicap stuff to accommodate them? Like the US you get monthly checks for your bills and it likely varies by the city or state you live in and I wondered about China. Would they force someone who’s newly injured to move to a cheaper spot if they are disabled and get a monthly check now. Like what if your in a wheelchair and you live in Hong Kong, but your disability payments don’t cover your rent. Do they force you to move to another city knowing that these other cities won’t have any handicap amenities or anything? I’m just curious how it works

@wiggy8912- In Australia the bus actually has airbags/hydrolic suspension which lowers so a ramp can be deployed & not high in angle for the wheelchairs/baby prams... Maybe in your country it's not a "thing" but it is reality in other countries... Just saying✌🏼

Imagine u r stuck in rubble and u saw a Chinese from a gap of the rubble putting a flag and making vedios instead of searching

My grandma's brother passed away, then my greatgrandma passed away by the sheer sadness of losing him and his entire homeland, because the place where he could call home no longer existed, and that's only the family, there's also far cousins who died as whole or others who lost there parents just starting university. Meanwhile the mighty internet people were arguing on why not to help Turkey but syria instead to fit there politics. I hate politics, it blinds the hearts of the people.

Probably not. It's hard to think about others when your own family is in danger if you mess up this important Communist Party Photo Op. If I were them I'd be spending that 10 hours practicing my singing and how straight I can stand.

I’m proud of my fellow Dutchman, they saved quite some lives as a unique team of people and dogs. A highly trained combination of police, firefighters, army and medics. Should of donated it to the poor people in Syria or Turkey. Not to a guy who is actually the one spreading propaganda videos because of the hate he has so much inside of him. 10 hours.. Why didn't he mention Australia and why it took them 9 days to arrive? There is 2 sides to every story my friend. A hater is always going to be bias and that's the problem I have with this, it's the fact he made this story with heart full of hate towards China. First of all how does he know the old man in the wheelchair isn't a advertisement for some product? Second of all we don't know the story why they waited or if they waited all he knows is what he read from a group of people that hate the ccp. Regarding the flag if I could post you pictures here you would see atleast 10 countries did the same so that they can easily locate the rescue tent. He said China is acting as a bully but didn't mention America has over 450 or is it 650 army bases around the world 450!! Why do you need 450 army bases around the world? Also as a wheelchair user, that ramp is STEEP and scary. It would be very hard to get up, especially as a disabled very tired people.

Don't try to claim that the CCP is an entity separate from the people. The people make the party. It's just like in Russia - while there are some smarter ones, the vast majority support the dictatorship. Even when they are abroad, have access to reliable news sources, and there's nobody to watch them, they still support the system. The purges in these two countries are to blame. You're left with the sons and daughters of complete idiots, and very few of them have the capability or nature to think for themselves. Very few.

It's the rest of the world that can be fooled

People tried to differentiate CCP from China or Chinese in general, and it is politically correct to do so. We from Hong Kong initially thought that way too, and tried not to discriminate those coming from China. But after coming across more Chinese people from China, we realize that perhaps 70%+ of Chinese people act and think just like their CCP leaders. With over 1 billion population, there are certainly good people in China too and I happen to know quite a few of them. But very unfortunately they are the absolute minority in that country.

@@Flowing22 I was renovating a house and the owner had a freelance journalist friend arrive from Hong Kong on her way back to the UK. This was September 2019 and she had escaped Wuhan where they had cordoned off whole neighbourhoods with people dropping dead on the street. Then hazmat teams would show up and take away the families directly related to that person. Internet was blocked in those areas. She made her way to Hong Kong with the riots then arrived here. She was emphatic that something really bad was being covered up. The day she left, I gained access to that bedroom and that afternoon I had a severe headache followed by stomach cramps. I never get sick other than maybe a cold every 2-3 years. I went to lie down and was bed ridden for 3 months! Note this was 6 months before anything was announced.

During my lifetime I have heard of earthquakes several times in Turkey. This is one of the worst I can remember, many lives lost. Pray for the people.

Your videos have really been eye opening and I personally appreciate your point of view seeing as you are South African ( as am I, obviously). I watch plenty of news and I like to think that I am pretty well informed but man I find that the experiences you have shared thus far have radically changed my outlook on especially China.. mostly for the reason, as you yourself put it, nothing gets out form there for us to see.
