There's nothing real from Serpentza : total BS.

The U S is too focused on soft power, like the media. On the other hand, China is focused on real things, like secure natural resources for manufacturing plants, and factories. Science and technology. Securing energy resources, and diversifying sources of energy. Building highways, high speed rail, roads, aqueducts, canals, and building modern cities. All that soft power doesn't amount to anything. What matters is can you produce enough things to keep the people happy, by keeping inflation rates low, keeping rents low, making affordable homes, etc. Doing business with people in other countries, making business relationships with people in other countries. That's what matter in the end.

There are a lot of different contributing elements when it comes to influence. Soft power ist not irrelevant. Being culturally and idealogically aligned with other countries is a good thing. Hollywood is extremely valuable for telling stories from US perspective. Then look at their military and look at which is THE world's reserve currency, and think again whether the US is too focused on soft power. Their approach to international relations, approaching the matter of influence from various sides, has worked well, and it won't fail just because you don't like it.

@@PK-ls8fs Isn't that why we have the trend of de dollarization. After all, the USD had been decoupled from oil, or the petrodollar. There are a lot of dollars in circulation in this world, but in 5 to 10 years that will be a different story. Why do the world have to use USD to conduct trade? From 1973 up to 2023 all countries in this world had to get dollars to buy oil. Oil is the life blood of the world. That isn't the case anymore. This will result in higher interest rates in the U S, and it will make it nearly impossible to keep interest rates at near zero % with zero consequences. The world will no longer have to fund QE policies, and endless military spending. The consequences of this will be borne by the U S population with higher and higher inflation. I am not being subjective here, it is a reality. You will no longer be able to finance your living by creating money out of thin air.
