Sure it isnt as immediate to your mind as lyrics might be, but music does communicate ideas if you sit and listen to it rather than you place it in the background while doing other such this as daily chores and activities. Try actively listening to something that doesn't have lyrics. You might find your enjoyment of the music is elevated.

This song is too beautiful. My emotions are all over the place....

Damn, I fell in love with someone back in 2016 the same time this record came out. We listened to the whole thing while enjoying ourselves on psychs and here I am five years later without him missing what I felt back then. The feeling of home, how I could perfectly fit next to his neck when we hugged, and just simply everything we experienced during those five years. I thought he was the one, but in retrospect I am better off without him. Sad to see all that time "wasted" (even tho I know it wasn't) and have beautiful records like these remind of those times. Time heals all.

well the thing to realize is that RHCP is as influenced by Funkadelic as this album so to find those similarities is not accidental. Its a result of identical influences. The first RHCP album was produced by George Clinton after all.
