Child Predator Attempts to Meet with Minor, Gets Greeted By Police Officers

On July 6, 2021, an investigator posed as a 15-year-old girl on an anonymous social media platform and attracted the attention of a 29-year-old man. After the man was aware of the girl’s age he continued to pursue contact. He eventually asked for a home address in La Crosse, WI.
Instead of a 15-year-old girl, he was greeted by officers and the undercover investigator he was actually messaging with.

1/30/24 UPDATE: He just got arrested for 1st-degree sexual assault of a child and incest with a child... ----- His case also just recently closed. He plead guilty to the charge “Attempt 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of Child” and his second charge “Use a Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime” was dismissed but read in. Here’s what WI Court Records say: “CRT: sentence withheld 3 years probation w/cond: follow sex offender registry as a condition of probation & it will also be a lifetime requirement… he is allowed to see his own children & step daughter as allowed by the family court”

Did the courts rule of any requirements for him to go through therapy? His journal sounds like he was trying to minimize being a predator by being a "good guy" and yet not admitting to his impulsive behavior. Years of probation and being on a sex offender list doesn't really address the core problem of a man who can't control his impulses and desperately needs therapy.

He had a wife and two boys, once of which was in my grade. This man taught EVERYONE and we all knew him. His boys were devastated in finding out that not only did their dad kill himself, but he killed himself because he's a pedophile. Luckily no one picked on the kids to my knowledge. His mugshot still haunts me. It's like it's not even him anymore.

What they don't include in these videos is that there was a search warrant issued for his residence to gather all electronics and search them. That's what they really want is a reason to make a headline with more charges than you see here. The same Judge and same Assistant District Attorney handle most of these sting cases. They act tough and concerned for kids but they give every suspect the same charges and the same deal. Also what they would love is someone to come across the Minnesota border, then I believe these charges become Federal.

He didn't freak out, didn't scream or try to fight, didn't try to proclaim his innocence... he clearly knew EXACTLY why the cops were there without even having to ask. My heart goes out to this guy's wife... I can't even begin to imagine what it must feel like to come home & find out your significant other was arrested for trying to cheat on you WITH A CHILD. That poor woman is probably going to need decades of hardcore therapy after this.

@Chicken Tender Lover 2 I saw the part with the diary. I didn't see anything that led me to believe he is "mentally incapacitated." It seems to me that his attraction to minors is one of the things being addressed by his therapist. Alot of people see a therapist, but they are still legally responsible if they commit or attempt to commit a violent crime. The OP said the guy is a sick individual and he hopes that the guy is punished accordingly. Diary notwithstanding, I don't believe that he was. And worse, I believe giving him open contact with his children, and even allowing him to reside with a step child puts all those children along with any others (well, of his preferred gender) in danger. If this guy groomed my daughter or molested my son in a public restroom at a little league game, I would be livid that the system caught him, knew what he was all about, then just turned him loose to victimize more children. I mean, those people in law enforcement have to be asking themselves what is even the point?- if the courts are just going to act like it's no big deal.

This is the result of a pro - active risk assessment and proper preparation by Detectives that are actually interested in solving crimes as opposed to sifting through random individuals on the chance of detecting a low level malum prohibitum offence, which is why they are able to easily and safely catch this beast unlike say, a random 14 year old child, which when happened upon along a street walk is instantly considered armed, dangerous and guilty until proven innocent, the sad approach that far too many of the flatfoots in your country (not all, but a good proportion) resort to on far too many occasions.

@Worm Bat Well, let's crunch some numbers. 3,659,289 Americans were born in 2021, and we estimate the pedophile population to be around 5%. (Probably more, since they are reluctant to be identified even for clinical purposes.) That means roughly 183,000+ pedophiles were born last year in the States. Only 100,000 people are arrested for sex crimes in the U.S. at most, in any given year, and that includes those who offended against an adult. So we're not even detecting the majority of people who are primarily attracted to children, either because they don't offend, or because they don't get caught. The dumb ones get caught, that's for sure, because we can see them... But the number imply that the majority of them are very smart, and practice evasion. Some of them, are actually cops, judges, and jail guards as well. That's a little alarming, when you consider how many get off with a warning, or how many pedophile killers end up dead. I guess what I'm saying is... don't bet your entire world view on stupid TV shows and their fictional narratives?
