On July 20, 2023, a family dining out with their child was mistakenly identified as suspects in a hit-and-run incident in Kenosha, WI. Restaurant staff recorded the evening's occurrences, leading to a viral clip depicting the forceful arrest of a man holding his baby. This video prompted reactions from lawyers, advocates, and the local police department in a city familiar with unrest.

**Attention** For those who love not seeing both sides, I am NOT trying to make it seem like the police are right in every situation. In fact, I agree the force used here was unnecessary, and the incident could have been handled better. However, some officers are genuinely trying to uncover the truth and perform their duties correctly. Many even agree that the other officers made a stupid move. Unfortunately, since some individuals avoid listening to both sides, everyone assumes that every officer on scene was terrible, should be fired, and should go to hell. That's not rational thinking. 👉 Get your loved ones a special holiday gift with our NEW set of shirts! www.codebluecam.com/ 💥 See more content here! www.patreon.com/codebluecam ► Facebook - facebook.com/CodeBlueCam/ ► Twitter - twitter.com/codebluecam ► Shorts - www.youtube.com/@CodeBlueShorts ► Instagram - instagram.com/code_blue_cam/

Normally I like your videos but the commentary is getting to be a little much, especially when you’re doing everything you can to make it seem like the police are right in every situation, and they definitely weren’t here. It’s easy to sit around and Monday morning quarterback a situation when you weren’t there and don’t know how you would react to being accused of something you’re innocent of. Sorry but the way this was edited to favor the police and the commentary is a thumbs down for me.

I mean the eyewitnesses said they saw a man, woman, and baby. The manager called 911 about them and said they arrived 30 minutes ago. Both of these facts we now know to be false, but this is the information the police had at the time. The police had enough reasonable suspicion to detain. They didn't bring cuffs out until the couple was running away. The couple made it a shitshow by resisting. The only things the cops did wrong was one of them gave strikes as a deterrence which went against policy and one of them pepper sprayed without giving proper care afterwards. They both got short suspensions but what should happen, they be fired? Criminals can be reformed but police cannot?

Eyewitness accounts are usually messy, the colors, and details are usually hazy, Mix the colors around, someone is injured, they smell like weed, weed impairs driving, they're under the age of 18, or look young, they're hiding in the bathroom, the staff didn't see them come into the building, that's the most likely suspect. "There's someone wearing a red shirt" not "red pants" or generally wearing "red". The family is waiting for their food, they are tired, anxious, hungry, the baby is crying, cops come out of nowhere and accuse them of something they didn't do (which in a society where black people are not trusting of cops, this is a big alarm factor that will create a problem out of nothing.) People make bad decisions when they're exhausted, hungry, and annoyed.

When the Applebee's manager made the comment that the couple seemed suspicious because they asked for their food to go and for the check, I knew something wasn't right. What she failed to mention to the cops was the couple had been there for over an hour waiting on their food and had complained about the poor service. The fact she told police that they had only been there for 20 minutes and seemed very suspicious upon entering was an intentional exaggeration and lie to get them in trouble because she was butt-hurt over them complaining and possibly giving her attitude. Sadly, this fact was overlooked by the cops, but not by Applebee's Corporate office who fired her.

Good, I'm glad she got fired also because the place didn't even look busy enough to where they should've had to wait that damn long for food? She didn't need to do all that and they were possibly taken long with the customers food just to be a**holes, or hoping they'd get irritated enough to leave? I'm pretty sure they're not the only customers to complain about their crappy service, because of her and the other idiot employee(he's probably the cook)who was more worried about doing everything else but working? I watch a lot of these videos and most of the PO's aren't unnecessarily aggressive and they actually listened first, and those cop cams are of course more for the officer's protection because even when it shows them being dead a** wrong, they either don't get into trouble or a slap on the wrist just like criminals?

It's really sad how many Americans there are like you who have absolutely no idea how the jail process works. Crazy how you seem to think bonds mean you get to ignore sentencing and not go to jail or prison if you're sentenced to serve time. Bonds only get you out until your court date, and most of the time people don't get sentenced to serve time. If you want this to stop, complain about lenient judges and district attorneys looking for empathy points by going easy on people, because even if they abolish bonds entirely, people are still going to be getting out far earlier than they should.

And when the couple have only been in there for a short amount of time to your own belief. (Not saying they were in there for the 30 minutes the manager said they was in there for) and then they asked for a check and are antsy to leave then its pretty suspicious considering the description she was told. The manager was not at all at fault it was more on the police side of things. They could've asked for CCTV very early on in the investigation and could have de-escalated things way earlier as well. and to make them more suspicious they continue to act out instead of just listening to what they police are asking them. Considering the white car they drove there in was parked right there they could've just pointed to the car and proved they are the owners by using the car keys to make the tail lights light up or something. It’s crazy how off descriptions from witnesses can be and when they line up with a random couple and is backed up by a staff member’s timeline it makes the whole situation bad. Yes there should’ve been more interrogating of staff members about the timeline but they did what they could with what they had. The biggest thing that could’ve helped the couple would’ve been to point out that your car was the one outside the restaurant. If the man would’ve answered the question from the officer at that time right at the start of the encounter they would’ve had no problems.

The whole reason the police started questioning the couple is because the manager said they had only been there for 20mins. And they actually been there for almost 2 hours. The fact that none of the employees saw a big group coming into the restaurant and going in the bathroom shows the police should have checked the cameras first. Before trying to detain the couple.

You can’t really fault them for detaining first knowing they almost fit the exact description, and knowing the could escape if they aren’t being detained, if the couples waited enough police would’ve needed to check the cameras first before making arrest, then they will realize the employee lied and the couple now would have a big lawsuit against the employee for lying and racially profiling them without being in any harm

Resturant was racist as hell. They didn't want to serve the black family. So left them for 2 hours. Then called police on them for being suspicious when they just wanted to leave. The baby having sat there for 2 hours. It's a joke. Setup by the restaurant. It's just they didn't think they would have to watch the horror of black hatred one in which babies limbs are ripped about while they scream and are pepper sprayed. It shook their soul. Plus the police told the dad that couples baby will be going with them. And the hospital will try and protect the police and make it hard for those parents to get that baby back. While other racists will abuse that child in their care. And everyone around that baby under the guise of caring for it. Will be paid. Some rose tinted media view is a joke. The narrator is a joke. Literally paid to gaslight the public, claiming they don't know what they are talking about.

Applebee’s and the police department needs to be sued. You telling me we can’t sit and eat at restaurant without being questioned because you’re black and some other black person decide to do something stupid? It clearly was stated that it was a female wearing a red shirt. How can the officers go off that when this female is wearing a white shirt? They took one so-called witness word and ran with it. That is definitely crazy and I would feel some type away also.. Why should you be questioned while trying to eat with your child and your female? Camera should’ve been viewed to see how long they been there what car they came in. Only time they should’ve been interrupted is if they try to leave. They shouldn’t have even known that they was being investigated.
