Chicken Mole Tamales Recipe | How To Use Banana Leaves For Tamales
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Today I am making tender moist and delicious tamales using banana leaves. You can substitute the banana leaves for corn husks, either way these are going to be yummy. With the holiday season in full effect and the colder weather, tamales are always cooking in my kitchen.

The best tamales I’ve ever had were from a friends mom who was from Oaxaca. She also used the banana leaves. I normally don’t like tamales but those ones were soooo good.

They’re amazing! Definitely a must try if you love tamales 🤗
One of my favorites. Love the video
I'm going to try making these! Thank you ❤
I'm glad the banana leaves come in a bundle but I literally put corn husk back to get them and I'm heavy handed 😅 everytime I fold the bottom it breaks on the side and my maza mix I made almost too wet like when I add the chicken with the salsa Verde the salsa cuts the maza again like I should have left it crumply before adding the chicken.... Still very fun 😅 I rinsed them off with cold water ! That's what it was
Wow looks delicious!!! 😊💕
Yum thank you must try ❤️👍🏻
Thank you for the recipe mama.. they looked tamalelicious 😋 Happy thanksgiving to you and your family ❤
I lobe that this is a recipe for a small batch of tamales! All the recipes I’ve seen make tons of tamales. I’ve always wanted to try to make tamales on my own but a small batch. This is perfect!
Holy Guacamole! YUHHHUHUHUHMMMMYYY!!!!
Some of the best tamales I ever had was when I lived in Jalisco Mexico. This guy would pass by on his bike and sell the green leave tamales. Always so soft and flavorful. When I lived in Guanajuato, I swear, the worlds worse tamales! Dry, no flavor, little filling. Yours look great! I love lard☺️
Mouth watering!!!!!!
Pls make Puerto Rican Pasteles and Coquito
I would definitely like to try these💢😋😋😋💚👏🏼
So delicious! I love tamales especially the chicken verde! Happy holidays! Also do you have a recipe for tinga?
I love your chicken mole recipe!

The only way my Guatemalan family and I have ever made and eaten tamales.

Yeeeesssss! I love Guatamalen tamales. They are so good. 🙌
It tastes even better if u cook the masa first . Plus I find if I use the leaves lengthwise so the strips are from one end to the other they don't rip so easily when folding up
Awesome
Love tamales,I didn't know you could get the masa like that witch is good for a bachelor like me.
I use to get some chicken tamales from a older Mexican lady back home who would sell a big bag for 10 dollars, I love those, she would put corn in with the chicken, never had them like this, going to have to try them
😋😋😋😋mmmmm!!!
Oh u rocked my world with this recipe. Yes yes yes I love this it's almost likes Puerto Rican pasteles I love this so much. Thank u Mama for this I am definitely going to try this method and use Doña Marie Mole for this. Hope u have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving to u and ur Family ♥️

This adventure started for me when I bought some unauthentic frozen tamales at the store and the maza was cornbread... I said "now I can get closer that that" 😭😭😭😭😭
Where can I buy the leafs pls

Happy thanksgiving
This is something I'm looking forward in trying out to make. My fiance not so much, he's not a big fan of mole
Can salted or unsalted butter or Crisco be used instead of Lard?
I love Mexican tamales.! Quite different from our tamales here in the Philippines which is more on the sweet side. I'm a new subscriber and i'd like to ask if you have a recipe for menudo cause i want to learn how to make it. Thanks simply mama. I love your carnitas.!

Hello! It’s not chocolaty, it’s savory with a bit of spice 👌🏼
What if I buy fresh banana leaf? How do I prepare it
Can you also wrap them in aluminum foil in case you wanna freeze a couple before steaming ?
@nicolesoares-lopez260

Yes, I’ve done that!
Do the banana leaves impart any flavor?
Just wondering can you mix the chicken in the sauce to skip a step? So instead of chicken then spoon sauce on top, just add already sauced chicken?

u can
Can I make pork tamales in the banana leafs? My daughter is not a fan of mole.
Philippine style tamales using banana leaves
I love you ❤️
I have never tried using banana leafs before. I have always used corn husks that were soaked. The problem I always have is that corn husks are always in terrible shapes and sizes. Also I hate trying to place them standing up in a pot. The way you do it laying then flat seem to me so much easier to do . Thank you for making this easy to understand video... SergeantC (Retired US Army 🪖)
We have banana leaves we will not throw away after this video We also have plants for sale for those who love to cook 👩🍳 with banana 🍌 leaves
What is mole sauce
How do I make these without the tamales being so moist I like the banana leafs better but The moist feeling of the tamale it’s a weird texture to me lol
