I saw Bobby in concert in Tampa maybe five or so years ago. Chick was in the audience sitting in the seat in front of me. I didn't realize until Bobby introduced him and welcomed him to the stage. What an awesome concert. Living legends!

That build-up at 12:20 is one of the greatest moments in the history of Jazz. The interaction, the creativity, the tension- damn, I am an adult man and I wet my pants everytime I get to hear this passage!

I was there in 1988 and it was incredible! If I remember correctly, the concert started with a delay because Chick was not satisfied with the piano tuner. RIP and thanks for the music.

Watching these musicians interact is like watching two professors talk about the height of their works with gusto. I do not understand everything they say to each other but I can understand the energy and power of the exchange not to mention the passion that comes with what they do.

If you ran McFerrin's voice through AutoTune, it would come out sounding the same, he's just that good.

7:55... John is amazing and his talent is simply incredible.

I was lucky to attend a 5-day workshop with Bobby McFerrin and his then-vocal group, Voicestra, at the Omega Institute about a dozen years ago. It was like being in the presence of a not-yet-ascended master whose prayers were all musical vocalizations, which we were led to participate in. There were professional musicians from all over the world who'd flown in for it; some couldn't even speak English, but they understood the music. I'm a total amateur with no professional aspirations, but I've always wanted to be freer about singing than I had been, so I participated with gusto and mostly on-pitch. Five of the best days of my life. And twice a day, we sang w/Bobby - and yes, one of the songs we worked on was Autumn Leaves. But it never, ever sounded like this!

This is the most amazing and weird jazz improvisation I've seen

That breakdown from 7:10 - 7:40 going into the bass solo is one of the most special musical moments captured on video

Holy shit at 5:25 the goosebumps came on hard. Amazing vocal control aswel.

Bobby‘s vocals are out of this world as usual. And with such musicians around him he can shine even brighter. Insane talent combined 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Their interaction reminds me of how I interact with my friend. He's a guitarist and I play sax, so we would trade 4's with each other and just delve into chords not even in the chart. It was great.

What a beautiful musical conversation... they shared their joy with us

Bobby McFerrin has perfect pitch. Man can he scat! Chic and his band are sooooo cool.

Collab made in heaven, to my ears...two of my favorites from different times in my life (obviously Chick MUCH earlier than Bobby). Has there ever been a voice more agile than Bobby's?

I love the whole performance, but especially John Patitucci's approach to this tune.

Amongst the very finest renditions of Autumn Leaves I've ever heard - this is SPIRITUAL FLIGHT right there and then. I'd have flown home if I'd have been at this awesome concert on hearing this tune. THANK YOU!

yup. how many more hours of "sing like the stars" exercises do i have to do before i get that , PLEEEESE!???? answer: many, many ,many more, :( but it's fun to practice! ;)

completely captures the joy and color of autumn… creativity, virtuosity and pure playful delight!

he's gotten so much better. true master of the craft. he now has his own languages where instead of only oo's and ee's he sounds like he's speaking a different tongue. think simlish lol. and some sound african, european, indian, asian. dude is a genius. and his intonation is so much better now, he truly sounds like an instrument, all notes are locked in pitch-wise.

John Patitucci literally translates into Truly Inspired. It's a wonder the stage itself didn't combust into flames with the band and audience running for their very lives and loving every minute of it.

Great musical performance as always but kudos to the camera man's last shot where he is tight on Bobby, slowly pulls out and tilts down to Chick's hands racking focus with Bobby still in frame out of focus. A masterful shot.

Te voy a extrañar, Chick.

This is awesome. It capitulates all that is jazz improvisation. Autumn Leaves by Johnny Mercer is a beautiful standard and this quartet dignifies it to the max.

Always wanted to see a collab between these two musical geniuses. I knew it would be NUTS, and it is, in a very good way. I don't think that bass player knows what a bassist is "supposed" to do...and it's awesome.

What Bobby does at 3:30 is the most complex harmonic live I've ever heard from a vocalist.

Here are three plus one gentlemen taking this golden oldie to town. I'd suggest that the critics get themselves an education. This is pretty sparkling sort of stuff. Good old Bobby is a mad driving force. A very enjoyable moment. Thank you for sharing Vladan.

Bobby is a mad genius of a musician, Chick Corea is a legend. Put them together & you get a wonderful alchemy. The critics don't know " bee from bulls - foot ", as my dad use to say.

Bobby's mind is in Looney Tunes Land most of the time, and with his amazing talent, he transcends what is perceived as complicated music to most of the worlds population, and helps create something that anyone, from a toddler to a world war I veteran, can take great joy from.

What a fantastic performance! Corea and Bobby are both geniuses not to mention the rythm section is also great! What a great amout of creative power they all bring to music with that joy and flow and easyness when they play like monsters! Amazing. that's music. But people stop makin' comments on their look... you have to just accept everyone looked bad in the 80's, that's a fact of life... Enjoy the music.

This is my favorite arrangement of this song. Only these two sirs could take autumn leaves and come up with this.

go pay to see their duo tour, coming to Europe soon. peripherally supporting Scientology well aside, it's quite well even more bloody fucking amazingly beautiful than this trio setting.. if you have the guts, you can go up and sit in and trade riffs with Bobby. i did, i blew chunks, but i did it. i am the idiot at the 2013 Frankfurt show 2who instead of listening and interacting with BOBBY and CHICK O MY GOD! (which is the whole point and goal) on a monk tune, "mysterio" i think, just opened my mouth and did some very not interesting scatting and Bobby goes, "uh,,just go ahead, man" and then cut me off... oh well...:p
