thanks very much for this...what a sensational and inspirational concert ! I had the pleasure of spending some time with Chick once. When we were parting he simply said "be great !" ...he certainly lived out that message himself. I still don't really get it that he has passed on... I hope he's in a 'great' place

Absolutely Fantastic!! I've been following Chick since "Romantic Warrior", and he's done nothing but improve its what I think is tha greatest any-kind- of Jazz total best!! I play some jazz piano, and have all his and most jazz music, bit Chick is the most versatile pianist I've EVER SEEN. I love him. (I also loved watching him with Scott Henderson play "Kimg Cockroach"!! People want to see REAL tallent on video!! Sincerely, with the greatest of musical love, Scott Schulle.
I can listen to Chick Corea play forever. rip
To all my friends, im norwegian and i cannot stress how proud i am for Chick and his fellow musicians having played many many times in my country.

A big part of it is, fans and demand. Norway, Switzerland, France and Japan all seem to appreciate jazz more than North America does.
This trio and the Jarret/Peacock/DeJohnette trio are my fave jazz piano trios...

Dave Weckl was ~29 years old here. Ridiculous craftsmanship. My all-time fave trio. RIP CC.
He is real genious. when he comes to Korea 2 months ago, i felt that direct in my head. Although he got about 75 years old, he was still young
Rest in Peace, Chick... thank you for the music. We lost a giant...
God needed another star to burn bright in Heaven... and what a Masterpiece he took. I was blessed to have seen Chick three times through the years at the Detroit Jazz Festival, the last being in 2018. We just lost Mary Wilson of The Supremes, a very bad start to 2021. Their talent will live on in our, minds, hearts and played through our souls. Music... it never leaves us. Thank You Chick for sharing your gift with us, God Speed and enjoy the paradise of Heaven.

I was at that last Detroit Jazzfest that Chick was at. Remember the thunderstorms? The delay must have been over an hour and fifteen minutes. He came on after all that rain and made magic. His band was incredible! I'm so glad I was there.
R.I.P ......... HOW DEEP AND HOW LIGHT,DAMN
One of the finest jazz pianists of the late 20th Century. Brilliantly creative jazz trio.. artistic genius.
It seems to be a higher performance than a regular live album. Awesome

This concert is pure gold. I can listened 100000 times and always is like the first time.
Attended two concerts of this fantastic trio, in 1986 (Elektric Band with F. Gambale) and in 2018 ! Always the same magic !
Maestro...... 💔💔💔💔
Fuiste una leyenda viviente. Gracias por tanto y perdón por tan poco. RIP forever.
grand, immense, Chick!
Apart from Weckl's playing (not to mention the amazing performance by this legendary trio), he (Weckl) had magnificent hair! 👋👋👋
I'm so proud to have met Chick in south Africa. Many many years ago. I asked him if one of his songs were double recorded. He looked at me and said no man that's one take. 🎉😂😊Rip 😢
RIP Chick!

Soaring, transcendent, beautiful music 🎶 🎵 who elevates our souls from his creation. Btw i noted no thumbs down people refer to.

Heroes! Love them dearly
Love It!!!
Priceless, exhilarating music. Thank you for posting it!
There is such a freedom in the groove with the most superlative technique is awe inspiring. While the beat is metronomic the freedom of stretching time, heard around that beat, is impeccable. Any thumbs down here would give a thumbs down to life, and truly illiterate to musical genius.

John Patitucci, you are without a doubt the most handsome and awesome bass player I have ever heard man. You have made such a difference to the band. I am very proud of you John. Your musical ability have blessed many listeners and fans all over the world. Keep those awesome gifted hands from adulterating your gift. Play as though you were standing in front of God’s Throne and blessing Him with your awesome gift. John, a word to you from this minister, “You are afine, blessed, handsome and awesome musician. Watching you on these videos, you have such peace, yet heavy in concentration to make your gift so perfect man. Such dynamite playing dude. Keep up the good work.” I hope to get the awesome opportunity. To shake your gifted hand one day. Fine, fine young man John. May God’s Spirit rest upon you and your family man. God loves you so much Bro. John! You mean everything to Him man! Read Psalms 139 and see just what God thinks about you! It is the most awesome compliment God would ever give a child of His! You are a precious man John. You mean a lot to many people. God richly bless you and keep you covered under the Shadow of His Wing man. Love ya!

You are kind to say 'ignorance' Chick picks Dave and stays with him for years all over the planet. Could be a signal, maybe, that the guy's got it?

Dave Weckl is a show off, but he can certainly pull it off every time. I think it was him that started that thing of displacing the beat by a sixteenth while still keeping track of the one. I kinda prefer a drummer that makes me giggle with delight rather than cower in reverence to be honest though. RIP Chick, great bloke - just ordered Hymn of the Seventh Galaxy on CD, which was a revelation at the time, as the vinyl's up in the loft.

Corea é Gênio! Isso é indubitável!
The best Spain version.
The thing about Chick was his interpretative abilities. Check out Sophisticated Lady. Hard to hear unless you have s somewhat sophisticated ear. . And the top class instrumentalists he used thru his career had similar interpretive skills. Just a different level than any other band leader.
They're clapping very rhythmically lol
This next song is by a little known artist named Dartanyan Thimbledick and it's called 'My Ass Hurts From This Piano Bench'.
Perhaps I am trite and bromdic but I know good jazz I hear one. This is a million dollar gig. I would very much to argue the 20 thumbs downs away. with no defiance. because It rolls over beethoven in his grave.

Jazz is Love pass it on!
I miss that musician
I could live two lives of playing jazz and still only be half as good, if I was lucky.
This is the 'answer' to the Keith Jarrett trio and their 'Standards' gig, right?

If Chopin heard this, he would have shot himself. Bravo.
Quem tá aqui pelo pipoquinha? Kkkk
I like Dave, but in his youth, he was prominent fusion drummer, not pure jazz drummer with true swing feel , unfortunately.
