With a combined Chess ELO of 5,477, these two absolute giants in the game are qualified for the Candidates Tournament for a chance to challenge for the title. Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa is only 18 years old (Bobby Fisher was 17 when he first entered the Candidates Tournament), but Vidit Gujrathi is creative, bold, and fun! Both players obviously would completely destroy me, but watching their games is a real pleasure.
In the "guess the format":
Blitz time control = each player has ~5 minute total for the game
Rapid time control = each player has ~15 minutes total
Classical = each player has ~120 minutes total
Each time control leads to different challenges.
The World Chess Championship (the one people talk about) is in Classical time format, part of the reason that Magnus Carlsen abstained ;)
