I don't understand him saying that Chelsea doesn't have the players to execute the system. First of all, Xavi and Iniesta are once-in-a-generation players. Second of all, this is the reason the owners wanted a head coach whose main focus was coaching the players. The more focus that coaching the players gets the more the players will learn the system. Everyone needs to understand that a project like this takes time. The owners and fans need to accept the fact that we're not in a position to win major titles immediately but if the project, the manager, and the players are given time to grow together and are given the support of the fans and the owners, then there is no reason that this shouldn't succeed with time. Also, who did Leicester have that right away fit perfectly in the system. Listen to the Leicester players talk about the first weeks with him as manager. They openly admitted that they felt stupid compared to him when he spoke about football.

Haters FC giving out wrong information again. Last season under Poch, Chelsea dominated games and had better XG overall for many months. The idea that Chelsea doesn't have the players for game domination tells you how much some of these guys don't watch football games. As a pundit, you get paid to talk football. To be honest, I've never even heard of Maresca until now. I don't know if he has done anything noteworthy, other than getting Leicester back into the Premier League - something they would have achieved even if Ronald McDonald was coaching them.

Choice of Maresca, a devout 4-3-3 offensive/creative attractive football manager proves to me that Chelsea board are determined they want their club playing football their fans can really enjoy week in and out. Poch never uses this formation so they rid of him. It all makes sense to me now. Except, will it work is a big question mark. Becoming like Man City of pre-Haaland and Alvarez days- when they still played 4-3-3 is a very difficult task, even when you've got the financial resources.

This season will be a long one for Chelsea. They also have conference league and club World Cup. Assuming they go all the way in conference league and have any kind of a decent domestic cup run, they’ll be playing close to 65 matches
