not really tbh, United deserved to win the game but City we were off it, tactically as the manager admitted it was his fault for the setup. and in a one off game, our star players were nullified, or you can say they ghosted. So many pundits asking “where was this kind of performance all season?”. If you ask a chef to make a meal that normally has 20 ingredients but insist on them making it with 6-8 ingredients, do you think they’ll deliver the same result? Yesterday, there were reports about Erik ten Hag’s future and it was leaked that Manchester United will sack him at the end of the season regardless of their result in the FA Cup final today. If this is potentially his last ever game as a manager at Manchester United what a way to bow out. Given all the issues they’ve had all season, at the end of the day they won a trophy which was the FA Cup final and they did it against Manchester City. Many of us wrote them off due to their form and obviously City are a much better team than them, but United played much better than them and after taking a 2 goal lead, they defended very well and put in a very professional performance. They didn’t put a foot wrong and after City scored, they couldn’t get back in the game. This is a display that many people should be proud of even though they went up against a team who wasn’t in the best mental state since they won the league and weren’t really thinking much about the game. 2 cup final wins in 2 years, unfortunately that isn’t enough for ten Hag to keep his job, but what do you guys think are Manchester United making the right decision in sacking him.

How would Arsenal play if Gabriel and Saliba only started a halfull of games the were forced to play a young academy kid and Thomas Partey in defence and play Ben White at leftback because they didnt have leftback all season Cant blame Ten Hag for playing bad this season

Arsenal have been the most lucky team this season. No major players injured, so many last min winners, no major players leaving in the summer. Its a shame Ten Hag will be sacked. The injuries have been horrendous.

Ten hag literally couldn't do any better these season. Top 4 impossible with injuries, non of the other teams have a loaned defensive midfielder and he still got europa league without finishing fifth, while beating Liverpool and city along the way, then if that's not enough he managed to rob chelsea of europa and kicked Newcastle out of Europe all together. He sat them all down. And yet arsenal still bottled it lol. Best thing the glazers ever did was get ten hag and ineos is about to send him to barca or bayern for free

All these pundits are clowns,give ETH the credit he deserves. His plan was to hit City on counter score quick goals before they regained possession.

United completely outplayed Man City, both on the eye test and statistically. Credit to city for adapting their gameplay in the second half, but it was too late to make up a 2 goal deficit by then. City were completely neutralized by Ten Hag's tactics and there was nothing the players could have done despite their quality. Just tactically outclassed.

So many times when I see the whole espn predicted for a certain team to win, i usually bet for the opposite and I win on many occasions. Congratulations to man united

Its quite simple... with Lucho and Varane fit, we had/have a solid base to build from and we're actually a top team with that base (even better with Shaw there too)... When Lucho and Varane are missing, and then the people there to replace them are missing, then you have to put midfielders at the back to cover those replacements for the defensive cover which weakens the midfield too, the standard of the team diminishes. Its not rocket science. 15 different defensive combinations this season, 8 different CBs, in front of a new GK too... No other manager would have done any better under these circumstances. EtH HAS to stay. Anyone who says otherwise just doesnt know what theyre talking about. Simple. The media should be ashamed of the way theyve treated EtH. Shameful.

Ps. Special praise for Klinsmann. Ive had to endure a plethora of failed managers and average ex pros taking shots at EtH all season and even after winning the Cup... but finally there was someone who spoke some sense at the end here, ironically someone who was a great player and knows how to manage too, which cant be said for almost all the EtH neighsayers...

Really poor analysis of the game. City weren’t poor, United just understood how to beat them. Every United player was told to mark a certain player, keep possession when you get the ball and pass quickly, and play the ball over City’s backline. Ten Hag understood their weakness, and when City has large amounts of possession, they knew they had to fight to get the result. No one wants to give him the credit he deserves, it’s such strange behaviour.

Amrabat made that first goal he pulled 4 city players out of position when he had the ball - also, i had a feeling all the ‘leaks’ about ppl getting sacked or sold was a set up
