Cheesy Milky Donuts/ Bread
Cheesy Milky Donuts became very popular at the height of the pandemic. It is a spin off of the iconic donuts. Instead of the round shaped donuts, they are stuffed with cheese and shaped into batons and they are dipped in a mixture of sugar and powdered milk instead of the usual granulated sugar or the confectioner's glaze. If you want this with less fat, you can bake the donuts instead of frying them. I have to admit that fried donuts are definitely more tasty than the baked ones. Oil gives the donuts the extra flavor. Best eaten on the day they are made. Good snack idea!

Yes you can but it is almost tasteless because skim milk has no fat so meaning no flavor too.
Hi Chef, is it okay to use hand mixer if there's no kitchenaide?

No ma'am. The hand mixer is not strong enough to knead dough. You can knead it by hand if you do not have a kitchen aid mixer. It will take you about 12 - 15 minutes to get it smooth and elastic.

2 days lang if fried. 3 days if baked but mas masarap pag bagong luto.

No you can't unless you reduce the yeast to slow down fermentation.

You have to let the dough rise again about 30 - 40 minutes before you fry it.

You can but just want you to know that adding an egg does not necessarily make the bread softer. It is added more for flavor than as a tenderizer. Tenderizers are sugar and fat (butter, margarine and shortening). Knead, ferment and proof the dough properly can help make the finished product more tender. My soft pan de sal recipe has no egg but it is super soft and stays soft for 2-3 days. Hope this info will help you. Thanks for watching.

I have not used milkboy so I am not familiar. You can try Bear Brand or Nido.

Hello Chef is it normal na ngmemelt yung full cream milk and powdered sugar (absorbed) after hours of rolling the donut. Kaya tuloy parang dimo siya nilagyan, and sometime because it is oily ba. What to do if your selling it.

Yes. Normal for the powdered milk and powdered sugar to melt after a few hours. My suggestion is to cool the donuts first before rolling in the sugar-milk mixture. Do not roll while donuts are still hot/warm.

If you have no mixer, you can knead by hand for about 10 - 12 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic. Add the butter after 8 minutes of kneading. Good luck!
