Only one of two ways to live life. Either in a path of virtue or a path of vice. We don't lead others inso much as we lead ourselves. Through example our influence ripples outwards like a ripple in a pond. Be a ripple of intention. A ripple of goodness.

Detach. Not everyone is able to do that. I've met many people who did not think THEY were the problem. Having real friends/family who are honest and care about your wellbeing is a plus. We are often blind to our own weaknesses.

I'm interested in hearing Jocko's analysis of Trump's leadership in the days prior to Jan 6, the day of, and in the aftermath. Does extreme ownership include taking responsibility of the mob during legal hearings? Even if it means saying, "I didn't instruct them, but I'm still responsible"?

Gregariousness is something that never really found a way to nest into the person I am, interestingly enough. I always found it a bizarre form of cooperation in which the people in there are passively erasing you, and you are erasing yourself, and I always found that to be a very bad place to be. Always felt weird about why that was ever so, until I found it is not such a bad way to be at all.

In his work, books and podcasts, a lot of which is for free, he and his guests offer a lot of useful advice, plus stories from life experiences that people can use to create their own ideas, make up their own mind on how to build healthier interdependent communities. Of course, just like a good therapist can't cure the patient, it's the patient, who needs to do the work. Plus a good leader doesn't promise beyond their skill set and knowledge. "The people" and "saving America (which parts?)" are big nouns and a big project. So in a way, if he hasn't spoken about The One Sollution TM, that is a very good sign. That said, what are your own ideas on what people can do, to make the various communities in the Big Country have a better quality of life, higher overall safety and health and more resilience against natural disasters (Katrina) and human created disasters? Besides Jocko's & friends many books, another good book that has been out for years but has remained obscure is "Sensei Mentor Teacher Coach" by Lawrence Kane and Kris Wilder.
