Sculptra is an injectable so-called bio-stimulator that has been around since 1999. It was first approved by the FDA in 2004 to treat lipoatrophy in people living with HIV. Lipoatrophy causes facial fat loss that results in sunken cheeks and deep folds and indentations on the face.
In 2014, the FDA approved Sculptra Aesthetic for treating wrinkles and folds on the face to give a more youthful appearance.
The main ingredient in Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). It’s classified as a collagen stimulator that provides long-lasting, natural-looking results that can last up to two years.

Beautiful work. Beautiful patient. I loved this video. I hope to see more from u. Can u tell me. When u do sculptra in the cheeks or mid face. Do u go down to periosteum and under muscle ?? Thank u
This was very informative , I am planning on getting a couple of treatments, or more if needed. My mid face and temples are just concave. I am also going to do the ezgel around my eyes. I am curious as to how long in between these services I should wait. Thank you, Be blessed today❤

wonderful video...thank you for explaining the treatment in a such detail... i was thinking of sculptra..i spoke to my doctor at the medispa..she said it would help my skin..but she mention you are swollen for a few days..I am always nervous about products injected in my skin...i have try a few dermal fillers which was okay on my skin..sculptra is different ..i wanted to try PRP..so thats something i would like to try first..before the sculptra..cheers from Canada .

Hi Ruxana apologies for the delay . It's because those areas are highly mobile and increases the risk of post treatment nodules. Also we're treating laxity by focusing on ligament regeneration and those areas may increase central bulk . Thanks for your questions!

Sculptra doesn't go into those areas it will make nodels.
this is only for persons who have a slim face right?
Can red light therapy further enhance the results and how long can one wait before using a red light therapy mask? Second question, if someone decides to have cosmetic surgery, in the future, would the surgeon still have the same issues you described early in the video? Excellent video!!!

Hi my apologies for the delayed response. We sometimes place the patient under the LED immediately after. So even from the same day. Chatting to one of the plastics she has not observed a massive amount if fibrosis but it is also " new " in South Africa. Perhaps with years and years of use it is a possibility..
Never heard of sculptra. How much is it. And where do really go to use this product
