    Had my first sculptra treatment 5 months ago. Really pleased with the results, it has given me my natural looking face again. Filler made my face look too bulky and square. It is a little more intense than filler, since they are using a cannula and moving that around, but the results are worth it. I had no problems with nodules, but it is very important to massage your face and spread the product around for that first 5 days.

    Got my 1st sculptra treatment 2 weeks ago!! I LOVED the way it looked at first! I am so excited to see the results over time. I have tried to educate myself on this treatment, as I am 41 years young & am trying so hard to take care of myself & age gracefully (& slowly 😉). I wish I would have used sunscreen & stayed out of the sun when I was younger. I also tragically lost my teeth when I was in my early 30s due to genetic disorders. People have no idea how hard something like that is to go through, and the bone loss is tremendous. I do have implants & that has helped. I'm hoping & praying that sculptra will be life-changing for me. Thank you so much for all your videos on sculptra, I've watched them over & over. Much love from East Tennessee 🧡

I’ve been seeing that a lot of doctors/injectors say that you won’t see much (if any) of a difference with just a vial. I just had my first vial injected about 3 weeks ago & can’t tell if it’s just the placebo effect but I feel like there’s something different about my face already (not necessarily more volume but maybe more glowy than before?).

    All I can say is with Scultpra, it really stimulates collagen. You just have to make sure you do enough treatments depending on your age and how much volume loss you have. I’m not as big of a fan of devices in stimulating collagen because I feel Sculptra does the best job out of any injectable or laser/device we have. Devices are very operator dependent and also depends on how many treatments you get. Also I don’t do thermage, so I’m familiar with it but I have never had it done because I don’t feel the need for it.

    Hi Tracy. It can be uneasy to think about doing your face, and specific areas on your face if you have never had it done before. Thing is, if your temples are hollow and you restore the lost collagen to the other areas of your face and not your temples, it will look odd. When I used to treat my mid face with filler I noticed that on pictures my temples did not match, and it looked odd. If your provider thinks you need the temples going to make for a more natural result. Adding volume to temples that have lost volume can be sooooooooo beautifying, especially around the eyes. I will eventually do a video about temples. Hope you subbed and turned on notifications.

    I'm really interested in Sculptra for my temples, but, like filler, I'm afraid of injecting in higher risk areas. Is the risk of vascular occlusion the same? And since it can't be dissolved, what's the protocol in the event that it somehow happens?

  • @NaturalInjector

    @NaturalInjector

    2 жыл бұрын

    Great question. With Scultpra the risk of vascular occlusion is still possible but WAY less possible because it’s particles suspended in water vs. a gel with filler. If it were to happen I would suggest using saline to try and flush the vessel from being occluded. I do Sculptra to my temples.

    I have not had nodules happen in years. The very fist 2 times I started Sculptra years ago, I had small nodules to my temples that only I could feel if I pressed really hard on my skin in 2 areas of my face that Sculptra was injected to. They were not visible to the skin and most nodules that form are not visible to the skin only the patient, if they’re pressing really hard, they may be able to feel them. Most of the nodules were from years ago when Scultpra was used at a much smaller dilution. I had one patient who developed a visible one to her temples. She was over 70 years old and had very think skin. We treated it by injecting it with saline and lidocaine over a few sessions. Most likely, Massaging after treatment and having your provider use an adequate amount of the diluting agent can help avoid nodules.

    I had Sculptra injected on both of my cheeks for my rolling acne scars about 11 months ago. I received noticeably more filler on my left cheek and almost a year later that side of my face still looks a bit fuller than the other. It isn’t obvious to people around me, but if I take a picture for an ID it is noticeable. My question is, is this fullness due to the precence of Sculptra still under the skin, or is this due to newly formed collagen? And if it’s the latter, will the collagen gained from Sculptra eventually break down quicker and make my face symmetrical again, or will that side always remain larger in relation to the rest of my face?

  • @NaturalInjector

    @NaturalInjector

    2 жыл бұрын

    The fullness you get from Sculptra is from the formation of collagen. It will eventually break down because as we continue to age we lose collagen. I am not sure if it breaks down faster or slower than the collagen we form on our own (without the help of Sculptra). There is no way for me to know if it will remain larger than the other side of your face. Only time will tell. It also depends on how many vials you did, you mentioned you got Sculptra for rolling acne scars and I’m not familiar with this technique as I use Sculptra for global volume loss.

  • @NaturalInjector

    @NaturalInjector

    2 жыл бұрын

    Great question. I have used Radiesse in the past (not hyperdilute) and I really feel that it’s more of a filler. I know the company says that you can hyperdilute it and that it’s more of a collagen stimulator but I don’t feel that it is. It’s hard to assess whether it is because it does immediately fill the tissue so I find it hard to assess the collagen stimulation because it’s filling the skin and providing instant results just like filler would, and those results last for months, (just like a filler would). Because Sculpta goes away in a few days and you go back to baseline you know that any result in skin thickening in the next few months has to be from the collagen stimulation so it’s easier to assess collagen stimulation.

    Why did you get filler in the smile lines instead of Sculptra?

  • @NaturalInjector

    @NaturalInjector

    6 ай бұрын

    Because I put most of it in the oral commisures and that area is very close to the lips so you can’t do Sculptra this close and I use filler more so for the superficial lines, which you can’t really use Sculptra to. I still do my NLF’s with Sculptra though so there is a mixture of both but I feel Sculptra does a better job of correcting the actual folds but you can’t use it that close to the lips so you will need to use a filler for the oral commisures and I also have a very small line to the peri oral area that I use filler to as well.

    @@NaturalInjector Unfortunately, they have been trained to lie to their clients. The ladies at the spa (employees) act like I've made such a positive transformation, that I should be expecting a popular Talk Show to contact me to hear my story. When they do this, I just laugh to myself and shake my head. There is absolutely no way any of the employees or the owner are going to agree that I have experienced "zero" results. And this is after we sit and look at the before-and-afters. I suspect this procedure works great on some people and not at all on others. Unlike something like Botox which works 100% of the time. I don’t like sculptra , takes too long to work. You just have to wait and wait wait for it to work. You need multiple vials which cost so much. I can do once of a thick filler, lasts me 3 years or more. So I think it’s abit of a money grabber.
