Tools are cheaper than food these days. That's a good tool for demolition, not very good for building anything :D You should rather test how it works on metal. That's usually where the real vibration comes...

Could very well be. Time will tell. Definitely wouldn't recommend this for someone doing construction. But, if all you're doing is the equivalent of cutting up pallets for firewood, this should be fine. Plus, can't go wrong for $30.
