Had one myself, well mine was a 530D SE E60 not an MSPORT. Fast little cars, but my god I'd never buy another. All the electric problems they have. Dashboard costantly lit up like a Christmas tree, dmf's don't last 2 minutes when the car is remapped, the rocker cover oil leak was a ball ache. Loads of little niggles with this car. Well over engineered. So unreliable, especially with the shitty "bulletproof timing chain driven engines" 🤣 crock of shit they are. Yes E60's look great even today, but they are all money pits... All old BMW's are to be fair... Infact to be fair the only decent old beemer I'd own again would probably be another Z3 1.9 140HP model. Now that suprisingly was reliable

Would really love a 530d the fuel costs worry me, a 3 litre engine so will take more fill and more likely burns through the fuel quickly too, anyone able to tell me what it’s like for fuel?

I accelerate everywhere and the computer shows average 27mpg. I reckon it would be a lot better in 6th gear on the motorway cruising.
Just bought BMW E60 525d M Sport. One previous owner, lady, full service history. 120k miles. New full service. Eight months MOT. Paid £3000 for it. With the details given, have I overpaid or paid about the average? Can anyone comment please?

Can't get a nicer 05 car
Bought one recently with 180 000km for a ridiculously good price. Definitely alot of car for your money. Unfortunately mine isnt an M Sport so I've ordered a complete M Sport body kit for it and M5 Wheels. Looking forward to the transformation. Would recommend anyone interested in these to buy them.

187k miles thats like brand new almost fiytb
First saw one of these about 20 years ago. I personally never got used to the looks of them. It looks like its trying to be some kind of mash up between a Lexus cor something Japanese and an American car like a 1990's Pontiac . Always thought the E60 looked horrific, if I had 2k to spend on an old 5 series id hunt down a nice E38 530d or 530i in Mtech trim.

Great looking cars from bmw this era.I always wanted a 335d but no manual box and repair bills oh my lol. Keeping the ep3 for now. But complete money pits. Easy to get handed the keys to any cars and love it when you can hand them back. Turbos Dpf Egr Vacuum lines Injectors Glow plugs Oil leaks Timing chains
your ads on they vid are bad,
520 has bad engine 525 n 530 r best n 535 is also good but bit worse then 530 , 530 breaks the least
Regret selling my E61 530d
Had 2 of these E60 cars and there the most unreliable along with the 1 series cars that bmw ever built (sorry folks just facts) do your home work if your hell bent on getting one.

The 1-series is dead nuts reliable as long as you steer clear of the N47 diesel, what are you even on about, you clown. If you want the truly most unreliable ones then it'd be either the first gen X5 or the e65 7 series.

Clearly your own experience mate. Most people I know who own the m57 generation of BMW’s think they are all very reliable. I’ve done 40k miles with no problems. I know a few over 200k with little to no issues. My sister had a 520d and didn’t service it for 30k+ miles taking it up to 160k and there were no issues 😂.

@@jasoncheriton1836 I like 1990's cars but I reckon this era of cars extends into the early 2000's. Things started to go wrong when engines got smaller with more extreme turbos and they got rid of the hand brake.
