Super fun day out with Captain Jeff from Bass Buster Sportfishing!
Started off the day looking for signs of striper boiling at Pyramid Lake, and very quickly found a striped bass blitz!
Unfortunately not a whole lot of action after that.
After a short run down the mountain to Lower Castaic Lagoon, we started our search for some large mouth and smallmouth bass and crappie, and were rewarded with couple crappie in the rain!
Finally, we ended our day at Upper Castaic Lake hoping for a Big Bait eating striper during the trout stock.
Such a fun holiday special with my boys Jeff and Dylan.

It's so confusing that there are two Pyramid Lakes on the West Coast and they're both hugely popular fishing lakes.

Hahaha as bad as it sounds, I use that to my advantage. That’s how I cheat the system for my trout season when I go to target trout lol

@@jake9705 yes, and the one in Nevada is the one everyone dreams to fish to target trophy cutthroat trout. However I do fish California Pyramid Lake a lot during their trout stocks, so a lot of people think my videos are Nevada until they start watching lol

How are you able to go straight to Castaic and pass the inspection in the rain? They turned me away.

As far as I know, the tag for pyramid, is also California castaic and the lower lagoon.

2 weeks ago, yep still boiling! Tons of bait around the marina lately. They’re still keyed in on the Shad and haven’t really transitioned to the trout stocks yet
