I used your technique at castaic lake and i finally caught my first bass there after getting skunked like 5 times in a row lol. It was also my first time catching one on a senko. Thanks so much bro really appreciate the video!

Extremely educational video, especially for a total beginner like me. I was having a lot of trouble understanding what the bite on a Senko looked like and didn't realize that it was so subtle. Do you mind explaining how you knew that you had a fish on at 12:00? I didn't see any movement in the line, so I'm guessing that you felt the weight of the fish when you lifted your rod? Would be great if you could do a video breaking down the basics of fishing a Senko in CA (colors, sizes, when to throw weighted vs weightless, what areas to target, bite detection (especially telling the difference between a fish and weeds/grass), etc.), since the conditions out here are quite a bit different than in other states. Thanks again for making this!

You can never go wrong with a "FAT IKA" by Yamamoto. Green Pumpkin candy works good there. And if they're busting on shad, I throw a weightless zoom super fluke jr in Rainbow Shad. The Strike King Baby Rage craw on a 3/16oz Shaky Head with a size 2/0 hook or a 1/0 Jig Rig is excellent there also in the Green Pumpkin or the Blue Craw Red Flake. Follow me on IG@BassmasterIce.
