Love the podcast, nice listening to hunters who use experience, and common woodsman sense to hunt.

Missed seeing Don speak labor day weekend in Pa 4 years ago? My cousin got married that day 😮 I thought I should skip the wedding but I didn't

I have bucks in my yard weekly, from May through December, including mature bucks. They've been within 20 yards and have scrapes within 50 yards. My "lawn" is various white clovers and chicory. There is also a 10 year old, 20 fruit tree orchard within 40 yards of house. It's possible but as you said in this podcast it is property specific and probably isn't possible in a high percentage of properties.

Pawpaw trees are pretty cool! I have a bunch of them and if you rip up the leaves they smell like peppers and i used to out them in my clothes tote lol but the deer definitely crush the pawpaw's! The only problem is they rot really soon after falling and theres never a single one left after the first frost so if you want to hunt them you gotta get it done in the first couple weeks of the season! You can eat the pawpaws too! Its a big fruit and tastes like a hybrid between a mango and a banana, kinda lol
