Now that was great! Two legends from two totally different habitat environments, agreeing on things, disagreeing on others... But both showed love and respect for each other as hunters and Americans and THAT'S WHAT WE NEED IN THIS COUNTY! Well done fellas, well done.

When I saw this debate pop up on my phone.i stopped what I was doing an sat down and listened to the whole thing.learned a lot !! The best part though was at the end with the story of two great Americans finding the truth about each other and becoming great friends. Brought tears to my eyes.in a world with so much pressure and hate, I m glad the devil is no loner able to pit these to good gentlemen against one another

This debate is genius. Almost every hunter just wants questions answered from big buck killers without too many obnoxious ads. The video has more info condensed down into straight forward content than any hunting video I’ve watched

This was very well done. Kudos to the moderator. You could tell from his questions that he had a working knowledge of both Tony and Don's techniques. Too many times when knowledgable deer hunters are being interviewed, the host's want to make themselves the stars by interjecting their own techniques into the discussion (especially young guys). I'd like to see more from this guy.

This was Awesome. I have to admit I didn’t know who Tony was until Don talked about the upcoming debate at the time on his Podcast. I have a lot of respect for To y after this debate he is a class act! Been following Don for years he is the real deal not much more to say than that. I have to admit when the moderator asked Don about the captive deer, and trespassing I knew that was going to be rich! I can’t stand sorry people throwing off on good people!

Even though it’s late I’m glad I found this when I did. I was about to probably mess my spot up being in it this summer. I’m stuck with only public land so I don’t have the option of managing it, however if I wanted to try to put a scrape line in to try and make bucks use it, what is the latest I could get away with going in and doing that?

Love the debate. Tony talks about not being able to bait, put mineral out and being able to kill 2 bucks as part of the reason he thinks he will not kill any 200 inch deer on his property. Well in Illinois you cant bait, put mineral out and you can kill 2 bucks as well. The biggest thing Michigan vs Illinois is Michigan has way more resident hunters than Illinois. Their gun seasons are way longer than Illinois. That is the biggest factor in my opinion.

  • @Victor-pn7kh

Michigan hunter here. Way more resident hunters, yes, but I believe the biggest detriment to our hunting seasons (other than maybe crossbows for everyone in the archery season) is the fact that our firearm season is 15 days long and right in the middle of the rut.

This is a great show! Everyone does not do things the same way. But both methods seem to work. I sent this to my nephew who shot his first buck this weekend. I am a woman in Oklahoma and I am always telling him how to increase his food source with some mulberry tree seedlings that I need to get rid of and planting switch grass for bedding. No matter which deer instructor you listen to they always talk about deer bedding with switch grass.
