Land of Giants belongs to Mathis Landwehr and Roundhouse films. No copyright infringement intended or any of that crap.
Land of Giants takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, where mysterious "Giants" returned one day and annihilated all traces of technological society, bringing mankind to the brink of extinction. The inhabitants of Humanity's new, primitive civilizations all worship and fear them - except for one man.
Crutch, who lost everything to the Giants, sets out into the world to prove that they are not Gods, and like everything mortal, can be destroyed.
Originally created in 2013 by Roundhouse films, Land of giants greatly intrigued and excited me as a kid, and i was very excited to learn more - unfortunately, nothing ever came of the planned movie/tv show. A short, 76-page comic was released, exclusively in German, and other than a few pieces of concept art on the now mysteriously vanished Land of Giants Facebook account, seemingly nothing remains. I've managed to snag the original Land of Giants short film off Dailymotion, and have reuploaded it for your viewing pleasure (and my own).
I don't care if I'm the only LoG fan left. This brief glimpse into the world of Land of Giants deserves to be remembered. But the questions remain.
What happened to Land of Giants? Why did the facebook page, and original video, disappear? What was Roundhouse and Mathis' plans for this new, adventurous world? We may never know, but i'll continue to search for answers.
