You will enjoy NZ I owned an F850GSA and while it looks the part it is a very heavy bike. Don’t fall off as you will struggle to pick it up. Shame you weren’t offered the new 900.

Here in the USA, its not the bike price that is a sicker shock, its the shipping & build, that makes most of us, run away. delivery charge in most places are 1800.set up another 650.00, Sure, would I like a GS 850 adventure. Yep, I would, but all the extras the shops charge here, makes me walk away.

If I could sugested for the new GS Adv Bike " Mayora "

Bike looks ok-not sure about the weight but I beleive it's heavier than the outgoing model. Top box is not a great idea as you want to keep the weight as low as possible as it also helps balance the bike. Unless you intend jsut putting easily accesible items like paperwork or perhaps room to store your jacket/leggings when you stop for a break. Enjoy NZ. I'm guessing you've probably left by now as I was talking to a guy in Wakefield on a GS who was riding 2 up & said he caught up with you on French Pass.

Good luck. Beautiful country, totally mismanaged. Left it after 15 years living there....I just couldn't stand the Idiocracy of the people and politicians. Land of self minded people, where you would rip of your neighbours if it benefits you. A shame....was nice there 10+ years ago.
