Riding in New Zealand with my Leatt team mate Kinga

Leatt adventure rider Kinga Tanajewska brought her travels to New Zealand and came by my home in the Coromandel. I got some lessons on the influencer game whilst showing her some of our local roads and scenery. It was a pleasure showing her around and having her stay with my family. Big energy and good times!
I’m on my KTM 1290 Super Adventure R running Mitas E12 and E13

"I don't want to be an influencer!" 😆 Chris, could you look any more awkward doing the promotional stuff but good on you putting up with it. I love the comment "you look like someone who knows how to ride an adventure bike" 😄 I gave that riding position a go today on my ride through fire trails and definitely felt the difference. Thanks for always being so generous in sharing your vast experience.

As always you are the gentleman on camera, I don’t know maybe your the opposite off. Lmao. But she would drive me nuts being so hyper. You are giving her lessons and she is being silly. People across the world would love to have a lesson from you and get to ride solo with you. She is about the look at me and your about the ride. Good luck.

Kinga has a completely different audience and apparently, you aren't it. I watched her video of this Leatt promotional event, for the other perspective. Kinga's editing shows Chris to be a skilled motorcyclist and a confident rider. Chris' editing shows her to be be high energy and silly. Obviously, they felt very differently about their interaction. Kinga also included the camera crew in a lot of her video and treated them like people. You get a much better take of their trip, in her video.

That’s just the way she is, a big baby. Like it or not, she’s quite often the personification of cringe, acting like a child, hopping around, talking childish, etc. I too would go mental after an hour around her. But hey, she’s living her best life so maybe that’s the way to go…

After 30 years of driving cars, and having a wee love for Rally. I decided I was sick of sitting stationary in traffic watching all the bikes cruise on past and disappear off into the distance... So guess what I did. And being over 6 foot, the little Gixxers etc were so obviously too small to ride, so I opted for a taller, more comfortable upright bike... Little did I know a Vstrom 250SX with the ability to go "some" places street bikes can't, would open up a new option I hadn't thought about. Port Jackson, Colville, or more precisely Otautu bay, where My Fathers very long-time friends have lived forever, and a place where we used to go camping every chance we got when I was little. Is one place I am going to have to return to with the Bike, loaded up with camping gear & hopefully I can get a fishing rod on there too! I wish someone would ride around the entire Peninsula, showing everything from old Gold mines, to Hahei & Hot water beach, Tapu Coroglen Rd, Whitianga, whangamata, hell, even Kenedy bay... all the places I miss from my old back yard!

Hi Chris, always love your vids and know you have a business to run but a small 20% discount on your courses would work for me. I’ve been waiting a while since missing the spinning wheel discount previously offered. Let me know and I’m subscribed. Regardless, I’m always promoting your content, which is likely the best available.

One of the best parts of getting older, is learning how to listen and accept constructive criticism. When you learn this simple lesson in life, the amount of growth you can achieve is astounding. I hope you read this Kinga…..as it is very clear in this video, you are blowing an opportunity that most of us would, and do pay hard earned money for by learning from one of the best to ever saddle a cycle. You’re the man Birchy. Way to deal.

OK - I'll bite. Because it's 87km of sealed roads before you even see the 23km (30 minutes) of gravel from Otautu Bay to Port Jackson. In holidays/weekends/good weather it's heaving with ice cream lickers, campervans and boat traliers . Add 130km / 2 hours of tar seal each way if you come from Auckland.

@@strangecustoms8486 No I don't - I live on the Firth of Thames so that explains nothing. Coro is OK but it's a long way from the best in NZ or the world, certainly not worth 2-4 hours of tar seal for 55 minutes of gravel.

Chris is humble to his core. Seemed uncomfortable as most men when a stranger touches us. Cool video promoting Leatt gear. I do truly hope Leatt has worked on their water backs. 80$ for a leaking plastic tasting waste of Money. The store wouldn’t return because I used it. Imagine that I filled with water because of this it was used. Do better
