And for me as well. There are so many fair skinned beauty bloggers so it's refreshing to find someone with beautiful melanin swatching colors I'm considering. And do I see a slight pigment line in your lips? I have that too so finding lipstick with enough pigment is an added challenge. New subscriber!

I love your video so much and the fact that you called our pillowtalk right away how it fails to cover all skin tones! Also loved the fact that you applied the lipstick on your lips as it is without using a foundation on your lips to create a neutral base. I have seen numerous videos where the influencers seem to have done some pre-work on their lips to make their lips more pink/pouty and it just doesn't give the right appearance as to how the lip swatch would actually look like on real lips! As brown colored women with pigmented lips, it is essential that we review the hyped lip colors on our skin tone and lips especially when the world out there is so focused on lighter skin tones..

Wow this is the most honest review ever .... And I like that she didn't apply some lipstick already before applying these lipsticks

I agree! I have wanted to try Pillow Talk and then received a mini size CT lipstick set for Christmas. The original Pillow Talk is just too light for me - I have medium w/olive undertone skin and black hair. The Pillow Talk Medium is so much better on me! The set didn't include Pillow Talk Intense, but I agree with you, I think I like it the best! Thanks for your review!

I do like this lipsticks and they are one of my favorites!

CT is costly, but definitely worth it since it’s so comfortable on the lips and lasts for hours. They look great on you. Thx for the swatches.

I bought the pillow talk medium lipstick and seriously I couldn’t get what the hype was about either. I do think it looks better in cooler tone skin complexions. On warm and olive skin tones they can really make you look sallow.

Hi After buying the original Pillow Talk. I absolutely agree with your video content. I am a lighter shade asian complexion - the shade did nothing for my. I can't see the hype about the product. Thank you for pounting out the similar other shades from CT range ie Very Victoria. But yes other drugstore shades are better. But I have to say the other lipstick shades are amazing - just not Pillow Talk original for me.

I have started to notice ppl hyping up this lipstick but had no clue there was different shades with the same name . The 2nd and 3rd does suit you well. ❤️

@boundless I think a similar shades for pillowtalk medium are L'oreal Divine Wine or spiced cider. Revlon rum raisin or teak rose are also in the same colour family of deeper rosy nudes/berry nudes

I strongly agree! I have tried hundreds of lip products and I do not understand what is so thrilling about the colors or formula. I tried the colors and just don’t get it. The colors are pretty but hmmm don’t get it. Love your videos!

Same here, on me the second one looks brownish. I think it’s nice that it can look different on different skin tones.

I agree with you. I’m a medium, warm, olive and find pillow talk way too sheer and light-colored for me. I thought medium and intense looked better on you, but you’ve worn better lipsticks that were more flattering as have I, so this lipstick is a no for me. Thank you for being honest and not just selling into the hype.

Pillow talk medium is my all time fav lipstick

Ive been wearing tones like these for years from MAC. And usually the ones you can get for free with your back to mac... But they are pretty just not $30 some old dollars pretty. Rimmel also has similar shades

@@lenahilltop227 For medium, the closes might be Essence 04 in shade crazy and for intense, you can use some maybelline lipsticks in mauve shades maybe in vinyl lipsticks range.

Not related to the video but you’re gorgeous

The best ones are Medium and Intense

If you had used a lipliner I believe you would of got a better result

I am not too fair and not dark either. Somewhere in between. I do not understand the hype of the original PT. It looks just okay. And agreed, there's no wow factor in the darker shades either. Don't understand the buzz.

Ah thought it’s matte lipstick tho, it looks glossy on your lips..

CT lipsticks aren't very inclusive..I tried PT and some other shades and they didn't look good on my Indian skin at all...also the formula and pigment weren't that great

I too don’t understand the hype. I love a matte lipstick but not willing to pay that much for a lipstick. The intense on you is stunning!
