He’s right that MJ hasn’t been good in his role as a GM in terms of building a winning team. But selling the Hornets isn’t some bad thing by MJ. MJ acquired the team for $275M in 2010. The team is currently valued around $1.7B. And he’s expected to still hold a minority stake post sale if it happens. That’s nothing but a W for MJ - he’s going to make 5x probably on his investment so money wise it’s been a windfall.

I think Jordan has accomplished, in my opinion, the greatest NBA career. I'm 43 yes old, so I grew up watching Jordan. Barkley doesn't need to be in Jordan's inner circle fuck all the rings, I love Barkley's spirit and attitude always. Jordan acts, I'm not calling him one, like a piece of sh#t. And What!

The Bobcats had the worst record in NBA history and were shitty their entire existence except that 1 year Jackson and Wallace were there. How could MJ not expect criticism? Literally the entire sports media laughed at them. Barkley just spoke the truth, it was not even controversial.

Former great players typically make poor coaches/GMs. Their perspective is only that of a superstar. They tend to hire people like themselves, and there are very few people in the world that are truly like them. Billy Beane was a great GM BECAUSE he was a poor MLB player, AND because he recognized what his shortcomings were and hired people who were the opposite. I can't see MJ ever being a good owner/GM/coach because he can only see things through one lense.
