Chappelle's Show - Reparations 2003 Follow-Up
Комедия
Local newsman Chuck Taylor isn't quite sure how to handle the effect of reparations.
About Chappelle’s Show:
It’s not just a show - it’s a social phenomenon. Dave Chappelle’s singular point of view is unleashed through a combination of stand-up bits and street-smart sketches. Hailed by critics and beloved by fans, Chappelle’s Show brings the funk and the noise - and some of the funniest comedy on television.

Its amazing how many people miss a subtle criticism Chappelle put in this video, towards aspects of black culture. He basically illustrates how simply asking for reparations or throwing money will not solve problems in Black communities (although I think this applies not just to black but to pretty much any marginalized urban areas). This was more then ten years before Jay-Z released his album, talking about investing and being financially responsible. Chappelle will make you laugh your ass off and educate you at the same time. Dude's brilliant!
@seedroyalnebthetchiefpries2617
6 жыл бұрын
George Kobakhidze this is comedy not a political lesson. What if I told you that reparation for blacks wouldn't be about money but about Land, History, and Knowledge. Money, no need for it if we got what we own from the thieves of the world. But when we do you'll be borrowing from us.

Some of us black people know how to make white people eat the very same shit they put out. I can appreciate the show for what it was. Sometimes bringing a show back can be bad for the brand. Times change and the culture changes.. Personally, I don't think they should renew it. The cool thing about the Chapelle show was that it was new and organic. Bringing it back would just be trying to re - hash the past and it would have to live up to the early material. I think nostalgic fans will be expecting material from 2003 like Tyrone Biggums, Prince and Rick James and will be disappointed when they don't get it.
@Shorty15c4007

Prentice Sherrod IDK I think Dave is pretty good with the changing times. One thing I notice is that he loves to mention the news. Alot of people dont watch the news so in a way its still new and organic. I mean he said it himself, black people dont watch the news. The latest joke Dave made about that Basketball owner that got banned because he said something racist had me rolling.
@prod5429

Shorty15c4007 I understand what ur saying. It's just hard to have a long lasting sketch show these days. Bc so much of content and comedy has been outsourced to social media. It takes a sketch show time to come up with material. And it has to be good and relevant. Shows like in living color and Chapel show triumphed when there wasn't a social media and television was the only source to get comedy and stay up on current events.. The in living color reboot never made off the ground for that very reason.

Man, that did it. I am still repeating this part. It never gets old!!!
*"You looked like you've just walked up from ground zero."* I'm dead! 😂😂😂 God I miss this show. Memories...
Take note Elizabeth Warring and Kamela Harris
The comedic pause before Tron was absolute gold.
"kiss the ring b!^@h"......lol
"Look at you chuck, you look sick man you look like you just walked up from ground zero" kills me every time
16yrs later i still laugh my ass off. Greatest comedy show all time.
Seriously, we all lost so much, when we lost the Chapelle Show. I don’t care about the why or who’s fault. By far I never laughed so hard at skits by a comedian and his team. The Charlie Murphy stories were gold. The Black white Supremacist was off the hook. He did so much to push boundaries. The thing was it was just damn funny too.
Is that your son? No I just bought this baby cash 😂
Damn I miss this show
Fun fact: Native Americans brought their African-American slaves with them on the trail of tears, and Indians continued to hold black slaves outside US territory until 1869, almost 4 years after the emancipation proclamation.

Don't paint every one with the same brush. Plenty of tribes hid run away slaves and let them live among them

You're trying to rewrite history, that didn't happen, nobody was being held, there is absolutely no historical fact to what you said, truth is, white men help create Juneteenth by mistake because of their evil, let's see who does a history lesson 🤔
You look like you just woke up from ground zero😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
