Changing the world one conscious parent at a time | Dr Shefali Tsabary | Unstoppable #85

It is a great honour to be able to introduce Dr. Shefali Tsabary today on Unstoppable. She appeared on Oprah's Super Soul Sundays a few years ago and that episode completely changed the trajectory of my parenting journey.
Dr. Shefali specialises in conscious parenting, which will not only show you how to become a better parent to build children who grow into healthy adults, but to help you understand your own childhood and inner child better too. This is for anyone who wants to shift their mindset, heal their past, and change the world on a global and future level. And the time to watch it is NOW during these most unprecedented times where change is inevitable.

Dr. Shefali will be in Australia in July - visit her website for more information: drshefali.com/

Thank you for this in depth interview. I’m so enlightened. Everything Dr. Shefali says resonates with me. I’d just like some more pointers on “getting off the bandwagon of being a mother”. It’s very hard to do. Once your kids have become young adults, you still feel like you want to know how they are doing. Especially if they don’t talk to you often. How do you converse without wanting to know about their well being? That’s hard for me to let go of.

Especially in India and parents from India...they never want to abdicate their throne (speaker excluded of course!)...even when you are in a "full adult" body now.

I am curious. I have an neurologically atypical 14 year old son. Diagnosis is combined typer ADHD and anxiety. He doesn't remember to shower and do his homework. How would you manage that scenario? I'm struggling with balancing coaching him through things and allowing him autonomy.

I would recommend journaling and being aware of self. Write down where you want to be in the next few years. Not materialistic but characteristically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Really envision that. Then day to day start being aware of what you do now and how that contradict what you envision. Then make the conscious effort to change. Hope this helps. Peace and love.

I really love her talks , the way she motivates and she is good no doubt about her but but I have a request please do not lie or spread hatred about India , you would have left India and gone to us to make money but that doesn’t mean you need to blame India for anything ... India is a wonderful Country and there are lot of opportunities for women out here .

Agreed! I adore her and her work. Also understand that this was HER experience in India growing up. But there is no need to generalize this negative opinion about India. It is a diverse, beautiful, accepting country.
