This is awesome. Every time I hear the Grenadier Guards it makes me think of an old saying from a professor back in my undergrad brass pedagogy class… “A good brass section playing fortissimo is impressive, but a good trombone section on their own can play loud enough to make you want to leave the room.”

Yo mate could you help me with the name of the march. It's in an old British Pathé clip from 1931, but I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the march at the beginning. kzread.info/dash/bejne/nZVqmcdtadfKdtI.html It's in the link there. It's only the last sort of 30 seconds or so of the march.

I think it’s because some of these marches are published on cds so KZread probably think that’s when the music was created when released but actually it was published 100 years ago! They need to do some education!

Jamie: many years ago I wore the badge of the RSF and have good memories of Scotland and a few years ago from London I took the overnight sleeper to Scotland and my opinion has not changed. I just feel sad of what Scotland is currently in the grip of!
