Great video! Well done to all to all who took part! Hope the weather is better next time! The marches played were, 1) 0:25-The Guards Chapel 2) 2:51-Birdcage Walk 3) 6:01-The March of the King's Men 4) 8:19-Bond of Friendship An additional point of interest: Note how most of the Woodwind section of the Massed Bands aren't playing their instruments. Flutes and Clarinets to be exact, this is due to (as the name suggests) the instruments in this section being made out of wood. Thus the name Woodwind. But, the Musicians have a little trick up their sleeves (Pun intended 😂). In case of inclement weather the Clarinetists will either tuck their Clarinets up their sleeves or under their arms. The flutist also have the same trick. The only instruments that is classified as a Woodwind and is usually still played in inclement weather is the Saxophone.

They do have Capes for cases like these, but Capes as the person above me stated can be quite hindering for the Musicians. In fact the Royal Marines Band Service did away with them because Musicians didn't enjoy wearing them and they were hindering for the Musicians. The Guards Bands have worn Capes in the past, but it's not a regular occurrence. As they usually only wear them on the way to a Parade (for example Trooping the Colour), and then before starting they would take them off. Which if you think about it? It would add more time, and be a rather big logistical problem. As they would need Guardsmen to pick up the 225 Capes and place them into a vehicle. Hope this helps!
