Hello, One problem is that there are hundreds of car fabricators on KZread all competing for the same viewership and $$. Currently, you have 67K subscribers after 15 years on KZread. No denigration but do you really think you will attract more viewership and $$ on Patreon? Patreon does get a cut on what you produce. EVERYBODY is strapped to the max and younger audiences are just not interested in old 50+ year old muscle cars or their restoration. That audience is shrinking by the day so you may want to change things in that regard. Good luck!

I agree. You made the point for me. Why cater to youtube and it's ridiculous algorithm? Why create content that benefits everyone else but me? KZread takes half of anything I make. Patreon takes 10%. I don't need to generate more viewers on youtube. I won't make myself do silly things and hope younger viewers find it entertaining. I have already gained many followers on patreon that appreciate the content I create.

I'm sure you have carefully thought this through. I am not on Patreon so forgive me for asking basic questions. Do the members on this platform charge whatever they want? Is it by the video such as pay per view or on a monthly due? Thank you.

@@Danno74Z They offer different "tiers". The minimum is $3. But that is limited access. $5 is the next level. Can be paid monthly, or get a 10% discount if you do a yearly membership. No ads, and I can post and interact easier there. There is a link in the description.

Thanks Barry!
I can’t imagine anyone ‘attacking’ you and your videos…. I have been guided by your videos for over 5 years, and have used what I learned to resurrect my own 70 Mustang coupe. I’m sorry that you were forced into this decision, you only you know what is best for you. Best of luck on your path forward.👍
So nice when you free up space in the shop. Working in an uncluttered shop is so much more enjoyable and your production rate goes up along with the quality of the work. MMM Gobs....
You are the best! I just did my first 66 Mustang thanks to you and your videos.
De-cluttering is good for your mental health. I am glad you are staying on KZread!

And good for the soul ! 😊
Good decision. K.I.S.S. “Keep it simple stupid”. I found you 2 years ago after I bought my first classic car (67 Mustang). As I restore this car, I will rewatch your Jade videos for a long time. I wish you the best always.
Barry love your video’s no matter how long. You are the best in showing details.
Hey Barry. You’re absolutely right. You have to do what’s best for you and your family that’s # 1. You most of all have to be happy in what you’re doing.
Your videos are one of the best to watch and learn. The detail and photography of what your doing is awesome. Do what your feel is best thanks.
Hello there Barry, 😊 I've been blessed to have seen your mustang videos, since before the pandemic. It's sad, those who would say hurtful things, are so jealous and generally miserable people, must tear down people act on what they care about . Barry, if KZread is that short sighted, in regard to content providers, then you must follow your heart, if only to see how you'll make out... God bless you brother..
Berry you have make your self feel good I love every thing you do thanks.
I have no complaints i enjoy watching and gaining experience im working on a 66 mustang going from a inline six to 351w pray for me.
You do an amazing job with your videos and I really enjoy watching them every time I get a chance. With that said you do what is good for you and if some people dont like it oh well that is just to bad
Nice! Always love your content, and cheers to you for focusing on your priorities. I always try to create the videos that I would want to watch, regardless of what shows up in the comments
Love your videos. Always have. All the info and details that you put into the videos is what I Appreciated. Thank you Barry.
I’m new to your channel. Great videos that I have seen. I usually search for specifics, what I’m working on. When I find content I like I keep coming back. Short, professional repairs are what I like. Keep up the great work. Lots of your videos are very specific. You won’t get a lot of traffic, but great content.
Barry, thank you for all the work & knowledge sharing over the years. I found your channel looking for Mustang chassis/rust repair right when Covid lockdown started & I sucked into the youtube vortex. good for you on cleaning up & keeping true to what you want. the content is fantastic - understand everyone has opinions & not everyone is looking for a teaching environment so your detail vids wont get the views that a revival/road trip type of video will. I'll still be watching! Jeff
What drew me to your channel was the sheet metal welding and fitment challenges you overcome with detailed explanation. Love it! I do prefer that a project vehicle come to completion. I do avoid the videos of other content like car maintenance and repairs or any off content videos. Similar channels I follow are MakeItCustom with Karl Forester of Vancouver British Columbia, Canada. I also follow Fritzee's Fabrication if this helps you in understanding what I seek out for viewing. Best wishes for improvement in your channel's viewership and financial rewards.

I watch those guys too, and Mike F N garage for vw, and Trevor in the UK. He too is an awesome metal worker.
It’s your channel… you do what you like… take care… 🍻
I found your channel after I bought a 67 mustang coupe, Last on the road in 1975. It was my first ever mustang and I was building it for my wife, who passed shortly there after. I fixed the one torque box (6 cylinder), and the autolite carb was rebuilt, with only 45K miles on the car, it idled amazing smooth. After she passed, I lost all interest in that car and sold it. That's why I dropped off for over 5 years. I'm getting rid of the vw cars that need tons of work and have already bought better projects, like a 25K mile 1977 eldorado that runs ! Just drove it home today, in the rain. It was off the road since June 2002.
wow If I lived in the USA , I would be around to take that buggy , I had a Myers Manx with a Corsair flat six , many years ago , Sad situation , but u have to do what works best for you best of luck
Dude, as I have told you a number of times... I LOVE your content, detail, insight and all of that. it sucks that KZread has screwed over the content creators, they are the #1 video search platform but they are not the only one! I'll definitely be joining you on patreon!
Whatever you do, I just want to say thank you. Awesome videos and I have learned so much!
I've been watching your channel for what seems like over 10 years. I aquired a '68 coupe mustang in 2012. As soon as I started my research, your channel became the best resource. You are a valuable asset to the community.....for what it's worth.

Barry you have taught me so much over the years and you were with me the entire time when I built the 66 Mustang Convertible. Keep up the great work my friend!
I will miss the detailed videos you produce for classic mustangs. Not sure why anyone would attach you and the information you provide to the shade tree mechanics is on point. I’ve utilized techniques from Your channel. Wish you the best moving forward

I will still post to KZread, but not as detailed.
I will watch your videos no matter where you post them or how long or short as they are ALWAYS full of great information! Do what makes you happy and we will be happy for you.😁
I enjoy for videos. I am glad you are doing what is good for you.
Good thinking on the cars part plus like you say you have to take care of yourself, best of luck
You’re a nice guy Barry. Keep up the good work. I enjoy watching even though I won’t do your kind of work. Just satisfying watching you
Good for you Barry, good work ain’t cheap. Your time is worth it.
Good choice Berry. I like you content. Wish I could support but I have a kids in college. Can’t wait to see more.
Good job for helping yourself. I understand the liking more space. I’m not truly claustrophobic. I can get in crawl spaces or culverts or enclosed spaces with no problem. However if there’s clutter. I feel like I’m closed in and can’t function. I will spend an hour to clean just to do a 5 minute project with out the frustration of clutter.
Barry, glad you are able to move forward with the channel. Best wishes from Virginia.
Im happy with what you do, there's a lot of haters out there, and i know how you feel i got my brother 65 fastback mustang he died in 81. I kept it for around 20 years and bought several motors and tranny's sometimes 4 speed's sometimes automatics i just could never bring myself to get it going i finally sold it to my cousin he's restored it and i could never even bring myself to go look at it and thats been 15 years ago he passed away and his son owns it and takes awesome care of it and now its even harder to go see, thanks for what you do.
Totally understand your situation! Looking forward to becoming a patron soon and donating to the cause! I really enjoy watching your content bud.💚👌✌️
I love your stuff. Haters gotta hate.
Barry, you create amazing videos, and you're automotive craftsmanship is out of this world. I'm sorry that you've received any kind of vitriol from the internet community. Rest assured that many of us think you're one of the greats.
thank you !
Well.... I wish you the best in your future endeavors, Barry. I haven't been with you the whole time, but darn near I'd say. You Tube isn't the end all be all as there are plenty of other platforms to post on. Just give us a heads up so we can follow if you choose to drop the tube all together.
Barry, you have taken some weight taken off your shoulders, it shows. Great job, you are an inspiration to us all!
Good luck going forward.
This has been coming for awhile. Not surprised
I really enjoy your show. Gary from down under in Australia. I am at Studebaker tragic I must admit I was looking forward to the day you maybe started on this Studebaker that you just sold never mind no matter what shape your show takes I will still watch it I like your presentation style
Jo Daddy's Garage, This is awesome! I subscribed because I want to see more!
It is understandable.
Greetings from Belgium ! 😆 Just do whats best for you Barry !
Still one of the better channels on YT. Wise decisions, take care, God bless.
You are doing the right thing. We got your 6
Barry, you post it, I’ll watch it!
I've said it before and I'll say it again I've been watching you for over 12 years and as far as I'm concerned and as some other's you're videos and the info you show is more of a help than you realize so you just keep putting out great videos and don't worry about what other's say definitely 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Love the Manx....
I was hoping you would get some Gobs. Those will perkup your outlook on things. Stay safe an c-ya Momday nite. T/B 😊
Gotta do what makes you happy. Also like how you don't promote things you don't like, but especially like how you call out crap products. You are lucky in the States, I'm in Australia & we don't have nearly the access for replacement panels you do for our muscle cars. Most that is available is crap & needs a lot of reworking to even getting close to fit. :(
Garage looks super Barry !
First, thank you for the videos. Watching your channel gave me the confidence to buy and start restoring a 66 Mustang coupe. Before tackling any work, I check your channel first to see if you created anything on the subject. Getting ready to tackle a rear torque box/frame rail. Wish you had a video on replacing that! Outside of the $3 and $5 dollar memberships, are there any benefits for All Access or VIP? Again, thank you for the videos!

I am making myself more available for the higher levels. At the $25 level I will offer the option of phone calls to help with projects.
Greetings from Holland, keep it up, let them talk
I watch as many videos or maybe all that you put on your channel. Always im
Thanks for your advice and entertainment on KZread. If I was personally restoring the type of car you are dealing with I would happily join patreon but it's just general entertainment for me and with so many subscriptions I just couldn't afford patreon as so many are doing what you are proposing. I totally understand and it's your prerogative. I do realise there are lots of general tips too.i watch a channel called Rarerat and he just does walk around updates for the most part and that's enjoyable too on a different level. Corporate greed stuffs it up yet again for the average man!
Hi Barry do not listern to those people. I like your vedeos.
Your life is more important than KZread. Go ahead with your new life
I will continue to watch on KZread. I'm sorry but I can't afford the Patreon thing. Wish you the best. God bless
Top.of.the.day.to.you.my.friend..from.florida.
I totally understand you bro for all the folks complaining about it being only about the money you don’t have a clue as what goes into having a channel here and how KZread manipulates the algorithm and limits promotions of videos and controls monetization

I've enjoyed watching your work I'm trying to get my Mach l going, limiting my viewing time so I can work on my own stuff
I'm sorry to hear that KZread isn't supporting your videos well. I think your stuff is great, especially because of the high level of detail. I would be interested in buying DVDs of your past projects - more so than paying a subscription to watch something on KZread with all their commercial interruptions. Have you considered selling your project videos in DVD form? I think you might do well selling them.

Not sure what it would take to produce those.
making your family a priority is a good quality. I believe you're doing much better than the KZread guy that ignores his family and spends 26 days or more out of the month driving junk home from all around the country making KZread videos. I think you're doing a fine job, and I will continue to support and promote you anyway I can.
You should be happy doing what you want if you want to do you tube videos fine if you decide not fine good luck hope you stay on you tube
I have a 1966 mustang that has new floor pans trunk pans new fenders new quarters new hood just needs someone good and knows what they are doing are you interested in checking on painting this car your paint jobs are really great

The funny thing is if you stop making your videos like normal and focus more on patreon then your channel doesn’t grow to even gain more patrons.
