In this video I showed how one can change or overclock their ram speed safely. Here I used Corsair Vengeance lpx DDR4 3200 mhz ram and MSI motherboard. by watching this video one can easily increase their ram speed hence overall PC performance. Here the processor was ryzen 5 3600.
For any help you can comment below I will try my best to help you out.

hello and greetings... my problem is the following: I have 2 pairs of RAM memory of 8 gigabytes each of different brands but at the same speed when I start the PC with a 16 (8x2) module it starts fine but when I put it the other 16 module (8x2) shows me the error "CPU or memory change detected" I press F1 to enter the bios and save the configuration... when restarting Windows loads perfectly but if I turn it off and on again it does not start...THANKS
thanks you so much for this vid, and thanks for all the detail and explaining everything clearly 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

I am being a bit dumb right now I have a pair of Corsair 3.6MHZ RAM They were running at 1333 the whole time, I did all the steps, enabled XMP, and put my speed up to 3600 I reboot my PC a few times, still, the RAM is still running at 1333Hz I am open for any ideas
how can I understand which RAM is num one and which is two? And another thing is my RAM is 2400MHz but from the task manager its showing 1067MHz, why? Could you please tell me the issue and solution? I assume my msi msb905 can't overclock cuz there's no OC or xmp options in the bios ☹️
@ThinkSmartCreative
Жыл бұрын
It's possible that your MSI MSB905 motherboard does not support overclocking or XMP profiles. Some motherboards have limited BIOS options that do not allow for overclocking or XMP settings. If you're interested in overclocking your system, you may need to consider upgrading to a motherboard that supports these features. Additionally, it's important to note that overclocking can potentially shorten the lifespan of your hardware and may void your warranty, so it's important to proceed with caution and do your research before attempting to overclock your system.
bro i had my pc for 2 years and just discovered this 💀
XMP can actually make pc performance worse, CPU could be rated for 2666 in example, if you run 3200 with a cpu rated for 2666 it can cause BAD performance issues, ive used my pc for a year with bad performance before finally learning this
@ThinkSmartCreative
Жыл бұрын
Definitely. You shouldn't go over maximum rated limit.

I've set my frequency to exactly 3000 mhz (before was 2933), the same as my ram (3000mhz). Would that cause any issue?

Hi mate, I installed two 32gb RAM (total = 64gb) in my msi gf75 laptop. XMP (eXtreme Memory Profile) is a feature in the BIOS that allows the user to overclock their computer's memory for increased performance. Profile 1 is one of the available memory overclocking profiles that can be selected in the BIOS. If your computer is not starting up after selecting XMP Profile 1, it is possible that the memory overclocking settings are not stable or suitable for your system. When you select an XMP profile, the system applies a set of predefined settings to the memory modules. Sometimes, these settings may not work well with your specific hardware configuration. To resolve this issue, you can try resetting the BIOS to its default settings and then disable the XMP profile. This will reset all the settings to their default values and allow you to boot your PC normally. To reset your BIOS settings to default, follow these steps: Shutdown your PC Press the power button to start the PC, and then immediately press the key to enter the BIOS setup utility (usually Del, F2, F10, or Esc). Find the option to reset to default or load optimized defaults, and select it. Save and exit the BIOS. Once you have reset the BIOS to its default settings, you can try booting your PC again. If your PC boots successfully, you can try enabling XMP profile again, but this time select a different profile or manually adjust the memory overclocking settings to find a stable configuration that works for your system.

Welcome 🤗
For everyone who activates xmp but nothing changes you need to keep it off and adjust the values manually, usually should be under the manual overclock but you should simply set the max value (or the one you want to use) in every space that says ram frequency. Also if you cannot find xmp listed in your bios bare in mind its name changes based on the motherboard you have so could be DOCP or EOCP. Edit: Steps for msi users: - reboot pc - press f2 - enter bios - switch to advanced settings - go in the ai tweaker - make sure XMP/DOCP/EOCP - set profile to manual - put in the value you want - do the same in the advanced tab where it says manual overclock and put the same value as as did
Thank you good sir.
Hello i bought ryzen 5 3600 last night and when i boot it up i notice that my 3600mhz ram was running at 2400 so i tried to go in bios and turn on the xmp profile. After that it didnt boot. @ThinkSmartCreative
Жыл бұрын
If your PC is displaying the message "memory overclocking fail restoring default settings" when you turn it on, it means that the RAM overclocking settings you applied in the BIOS were not stable and the system has reverted to the default settings to prevent damage to the RAM. To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps: Go into the BIOS: When you start your PC, press the key to enter the BIOS setup utility (usually Del, F2, F10, or Esc). Load the default BIOS settings: In the BIOS, find the option to load the default or optimized settings, and select it. This will reset the BIOS settings to their default values. Save and exit the BIOS: Save the changes you made and exit the BIOS. This should allow your PC to boot normally. If your PC still fails to boot after resetting the BIOS settings, you may need to clear the CMOS to completely reset the BIOS. To do this, refer to your motherboard manual for instructions on how to clear the CMOS. Once you have reset the BIOS settings or cleared the CMOS, you can try adjusting the RAM overclocking settings again, but this time, start with a lower frequency and gradually increase it while testing for stability at each step. Make sure to monitor your system's temperature and stability during the process.
I have the same motherboard you have. My pc crashes when I run the game with the proper xmp profile and manufacturer's mhz...
Thanks for this!!!!
