How have I only just seen this!? LOOK AT THE LENGTH OF THIS VIDEO! What a pleasure it is to watch you review fragrances - never a standard, generic, shallow surface-level talk about a perfume, your reviews (particularly Chanel and Dior) are packed with history and heritage and you always take your personal stance on a fragrance you love so deeply with story-telling and comparisons and references to film, to characters, to real life people, to specific places back or forward in time. You give perfume the life it is intended to to have… you do justice to the perfumers of your favourite fragrances, the perfumers of some of the greatest and most iconic scents of all time (even those you don’t particularly love) by connecting to their work with your soul, not just your nose. It is a true pleasure to watch you. I listened and watched the entirety of this video and I’m going to again and again and again. Thank you for always sharing with us your stories, thoughts, feelings, your honesty and everything else. To watch you talk and react so vividly with such raw emotion about your most loved perfumes is just WOW. I’ve got to say it… my favourite perfume reviewer, hands down. You really are like no other. Hello sweetheart. I cannot thank enough the heavens the moment I found your channel. Because through your poetic visions I experience some perfumes I hardly ever get to know in person. Being because of the highly prices or even the difficulty of getting to smell them in the area I live. When I get the chance to travel, in the airports or the cities I always go to sniff the ones I can't find here. I loved the opening of Gabrielle Eau de Parfum when it came out but didn't liked the drydow that much. The Parfum looks something magical. For me it's a joy to see your passion talking about something that touches your heart. I was listening to you and thinking, sometimes you love a fragrance because the visions you have with it, the imagination flies but the scent itself, isolated is ok, but when the scent speaks to you and it evoques memories of a past and a future you didn't live, thats when the magic happens. I follow some perfume related channels and love every single one of them, manly because, bottom line I like the person. If I don't like the person the channel can be the best of the world but it doesn't makes the cut for me. And with your channel I love you as a person and your content. Thank you so much for the effort, the work and time you spend to deliver a profound time with us. I can't participate on you Saturday lives but appreciate your dedication of spending hours and hours delivering information, entertainment like you say and a moment everyone escapes from reality. I really like the edp it’s gorgeous it reminds me of the actress sharon tate luminous gorgeous golden white floral with a vintage edge & crisp sensuality. I just wished it lasted longer.

Chanel is all about time, the first spray when you unboxed it is different from the spary you get 5 months later.

Oh Dacob, your words about it having a hint of mother’s touch resonates so much with me, because for me Chanel Gabrielle is my mom’s scent, i spray it and I instantly feel my mom’s warmth, like she’s close by although we live in different countries! I only have Eau de parfum for now at home, but I’ll get the other two concentrations as well for sure.

Damn!!!I can’t agree more on your comments about the edp and the essence version were not very Chanel …it was such a big disappointment for me when I first tried the above two versions… was a bit worried that what Olivier is going to bring out in the future at that time hahaha until the new release Paris Paris I know he’s going to do it right again! I do not need to tell you your review is brilliant as always Dacob :) It is always a real pleasure to listen to your amazing expertise. Thanks to you, I keep the foil on the eau de toilette/perfumes I buy now :) I did avoid an enormous embarrassment the other day though as I emptied a bottle/ put it back nicely in its box, glue the foil neatly and forgot about it :) A couple of months later I wanted to offer this bottle but changed my mind at the last minute ! Hahahaha can you imagine my surprise when I delicately opened the foil and the box to find an empty bottle!!!!!!!! Silly me :) :)

You are magical and beautiful! I am inspired to break my bank and get some. I thought I was happy with Essence andI do love her. She’s so fun and friendly with a sharp kick! However, getting all that plus a motherly hug sounds divine!

Oh these bottles are so luxe and artistic! The bottle really gives an idea of what you’ll be smelling! I think my fav of these was the original edp I love some pink pepper 💕

Ohhh, perfect analogy with Twin Peaks. Watching it now actually, but yes different flavor than when I watched in the 90s (as a wide-eye kid), in the early 2000s (as a young adult), up to the Return (as a full fledged, boring adult). Thank you, Dacob!!

I love the way you can get down to it, I depend on you, when I read the descriptions of perfumes, I'm always saying: musk? What do you mean by musk? Musk musk? A MUSKY musk? Soapy musk? Soft musk? I really like the Gabrielle bottles but the scent bores me after 1 min in. So many beautiful Chanel fragrances on my wish list Gabrielle isn't even on my radar. Sounds like they improved the scent in extrait format. Don't want to fall for yet another extrait 😅

It has not been around long enough to acquire the legendary status of No22 and No19 but if Chanel keeps the parfum in production for long enough, it might just get close to them. ♥️

Perfumes last different on different people but on me the extrait of Gabrielle lasts many hours and on me I would consider this concentration of Gabrielle to have above average lasting power.

Now I’m watching you and want to order it. I’ve been wearing the eau de parfum for years .. Chanel should pay you.. I’m a romantic like that, I love the story .. Is it worth the money in your opinion?

It is very pricey but it is so worth the money that I even got two more backups of Gabrielle Parfum. It is so magical. I do not regret buying it one bit. Its a masterpiece. Seriously. Smell it, spray it on and let it dry down for about an hour and let me know what you think. 🌅🌅🌅

They should be using the no 5 bottles and stickers, probably the sales be great. The gold standard instead of gold bottles.🧐👌💚

I love your reviews. But there are times when you go on about Coco Chanel where I think a footnote about her activities during the war is necessary to balance out her image. She was a Nazi agent and spy, an anti-semite and a union-buster. She seems to get a pass from everyone in the fashion world, but she had blood on her hands.

Gabrielle is the most intoxicating scent but it doest project or last. I may try thepure perfume to see if it lasts iI have the essence

I watched Twin Peaks in the 90s, I was heartbroken and yet, filled with hope for its return. So comparing this amazing tv series to Gabrielle it only makes me ponder on how time affects our perception!
