@@michaellofthouse7168 you had a different journey. I was born I the 80s, so I missed the 70s and most of the 80s, but when you first find a band and dive into them...that's an amazing feeling. I still remember being exposed to Zeppelin, Beatles and Floyd in my teens. Even though I missed amazing era's of music, finding them in my own way was special.

Actually noel's songs have a unique and special melody and i love them for that. And Liam's voice, while i think it had better times, is a great voice. Maybe they aren't the best guitarrist and singers in the world but they made a band that changed music and made the most memorable and awsome songs. They became famous together never forget that.

I can't begin to explain why, but as soon as those first guitar notes from this performance resonated in to my ears, I just bawled my eyes out. Therein lies the power of Oasis.

Even though his voice has changed a lot, I still find him very talented! Yes, the smoking, drugs and drinking have had affect on him, so has age.

What's with that british haircut which looks like you laid a fork across your forehead?

It's not the rap and the hip hop that are making rock obsolete; it's the absence of bands like Oasis. We need them desperately.

I have never really been an Oasis guy but what I see from this and some of the other few videos is that they truly were an amazing band and their lazy and gritty style was awesome and quintessential for them.

Same here :) im into 70s and 80s rock and metal but love these performances which just send a chill down my spine, especially when they sing this and dont look back in anger and the entire crowd sing along :)

I love this version of the guitar solo. Its the closest to the original. What's sad is that Oasis disbanded at their peak form. The lineup was perfect :(

I remember when they played this song live at the MTV music awards in 1996 in Europe the amps were turned up so loud part of the parts ceiling was falling on the crowd below such great memories

It’s unique to him because no other sing wants to sing like it. It’s a technique that shreds through your vocal chords. The way he sings is why he lost his voice more than anything else. Also with that is how he basically yells a ton of the songs live. He recently did an interview where he talked about how he can still sing right but it can’t be heard over the drums and guitars. One of my favourite singers of all time and an undeniable legend none the less.

The last of the truly great rock-n-roll bands. These guys NEVER lip synced any of their songs when they made appearances on television. Clean, crisp, and very tight. Oasis had the best sound since The Beatles....

The Rocking Woodstocks Bell is great for sure but I think he was not really lucky in Oasis for playing the Bass.

He never did sound awful, just his early years vocals made these shite. If you discounts Glasto 2004, and Argentina 2006, he’s been fairly consistent

Great command over the music, the volume...sounds awesome, esp those guitar leads.

liam sounds great here...

What I wouldn't give to hear Liam's 90s voice at one of these gigs with Andy Bell and Gem. They really made the music sound fucking colossal, the way arena rock should. The only downside of any of these performances is Liam's worn out voice.

I agree. 2000-2001 is not bad since Andy and Gem are there, but Liam's voice hasn't gone totally rubbish back then.

Drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, late nights singing/shouting (according to noel), technique, age, cocaine (probably impacted his nasal passage like it has on so many others), stance/strain/shouting, tonnes of gigs, lack of warm up till late in his career, teeth knocked maybe impacted.....etc etc....too many factors to pin it on one!
