Noel did so much vocally to carry Liam in the latter days of Oasis. He's probably the most improved vocalist I have ever seen in real time. In 94 he was alright, he became absolutely brilliant as time went on. Liam will never sound like the mid 90s again but he has improved greatly in the last few years. Presumably with help.

@of2light Agreed. They should have morphed into a deeper sound by "Be here Now". Even Noel said that. I remember the vibe back then too. Their sound got swallowed by other bands with more experimental sounds. Radiohead "OK computer" comes to mind. Same year release.

@of2light tupac and Nirvana can't touch oasis in the UK, even with younger generations now since Liam's revival. But I agree in a more global perspective (although Nirvana complete smash Tupac in that regard and maybe Tupac and oasis would be on same level relevancy wise due to how big they were/are in South America and Asia)

Liam's voice was pretty much shot at this point, but the swagger of Liam and sound of the band accounted for that and it's a great performance. Flash forward to 2024 and Liam sounds better and healthier than he's done in a long time and his resurgence is unreal. He's matured and a lot calmer but still has that unrivalled stage presence and the swagger never left. Legend

Liam's vocals were sub par pretty much from Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants onwards (a cruel irony in that title that Iv only just noticed)....though I think as an artist he is as cool as they come.....and contrary to what many would think....he is actually a talented songwriter. When you listen to him sing for a full set on the live gig vids recorded between 94-97 ish.....you realise just how amazing he was as a frontman....and how awesome the band was live as a whole.....I don't think the atmosphere of their gigs from that time will ever be matched by another band.
